V-GREEN of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong - founder of VinFast and multi-industry corporation Prime Group, through its subsidiary in the UAE - has just announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on developing VinFast electric vehicle charging station infrastructure in Indonesia.
According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in research and discussion, aiming to develop about 100,000 VinFast electric vehicle charging stations in Indonesia within the next 3 years with a total expected investment of up to 1.2 billion USD.
In the first phase, V-GREEN will prioritize developing VinFast charging stations in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali and neighboring areas, and then expand thereafter. With a high rate of electrified transportation, V-GREEN's expansion strategy in the Indonesian market aims to take advantage of VinFast's diverse urban electric vehicle product range.
It is expected that the chain of charging stations will begin construction in January 2025 and some stations will be put into operation in 2025.
Prime Group has the advantage of operating in many fields across the Middle East and Africa, from infrastructure construction, hotel management, retail, to information technology. In addition, this group has strong financial potential and a global network of partners, the group will be responsible for arranging capital for the construction and development of VinFast electric vehicle charging stations.
Meanwhile, V-GREEN will proactively research the market, identify strategic locations to build and operate a network of charging stations, meeting the growing needs of electric vehicle users in Indonesia.

The MoU with Prime Group is the first milestone of V-GREEN in its role as an important partner of VinFast in its expansion into international markets. Developing charging station infrastructure is also one of VinFast's important strategies in conquering the potential Indonesian market.
Since officially launching the brand in Indonesia, VinFast has delivered two models, VF e34 and VF 5, and has continuously expanded its dealer network with attractive sales policies. At the same time, the company has broken ground on an assembly plant in Subang, West Java, Indonesia in an effort to improve its global production capacity.
