With the goal of "Promoting innovation - The driving force to promote rapid and sustainable social development", contributing to providing the country with fundamental factors to promote national development in the right direction - the Ministry of Science and Technology organized the event Connecting Technology and Innovation in Vietnam 2024.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat said: "Vietnam has advanced 30 places on the rankings of technological innovation and is maintaining its leading position among lower middle-income countries. To achieve that achievement, many industries have contributed. Also in that process, many businesses not only bring value to themselves but also to society."
In turn, the presentations of Hanoi City and representatives of international organizations and ministries shared the same opinion: In this context, digital transformation, green transformation and science and technology are the foundations to promote major and positive movements for the economy. Enterprises will have to be created favorable conditions to play a central role in this process. Because enterprises themselves play a role in providing resources for extensive technological innovation, thereby improving labor productivity and quality, increasing the national competitiveness index. Therefore, the Government also needs to listen to create favorable policies, encourage enterprises to optimally absorb capital sources to apply science and technology, bringing about more innovative results.

True to the spirit of frank exchange presented by the delegates in the Opening session, the presentation of Mr. Quach Huu Thuan - Deputy General Director of Viglacera Corporation - JSC reiterated the lessons and journey of creating the latest achievements of the Corporation in 5 product areas: Autoclaved aerated concrete, Sintered stone, Energy-saving glass and super white glass, Smart sanitary ware and PVD coated shower faucets. All of which showed that the factor of Technology - Innovation - Creativity is always the consistent orientation.
Mr. Quach Huu Thuan also devoted an important part of his speech to make necessary recommendations to create a path for construction material enterprises to develop further. Specifically, Mr. Thuan said that in the current context of fierce competition, the Government and related ministries need to create strong policies to support consumption and encourage the use of new high-tech products: Establish technical barriers for imported goods with fair treatment as other countries are applying to us. Update technical regulations, standards... of new products, and promptly announce prices to facilitate their use in national projects.
