On the afternoon of August 29, 2024, Viettel Software held a ceremony to celebrate the first anniversary of the Company's Traditional Day, marking a remarkable development step right in the challenging initial stage. The puzzle piece that completes Viettel's Information Technology (IT) ecosystem Realizing the increasingly strong trend of software development and IT outsourcing in the world, Viettel's board of directors decided to separate Viettel Software Service IT Center (under Viettel Commerce) to establish an independent company - Viettel Technology Investment Company (Viettel Software).

Accordingly, Mr. Bui Trinh was entrusted by the Group with the responsibility of leading Viettel Software in the challenging initial phase. Viettel's Board of Directors expects the establishment of Viettel Software to contribute to perfecting the Group's digital technology ecosystem, towards the great mission of "Pioneering and leading the way in creating a digital society in Vietnam". August 30, 2023 was chosen as Viettel Software's Traditional Day, marking an important turning point in the race of technology companies, especially in the field of software outsourcing. Strategic vision opens up outstanding success The first year is always a difficult and challenging period, especially in a fiercely competitive industry like Information Technology (IT). At the event celebrating the first anniversary of the Traditional Day, Mr. Bui Trinh, Director of Viettel Software, shared: "Although Viettel Software is still a new name, we are always confident in Viettel's extensive experience in software development, with a variety of projects in the management and operation of telecommunications networks, to business administration and e-wallets".

Viettel Software outlines a clear strategy for each stage. In the last 4 months of 2023, the company has completed its organizational model, evaluated and improved the quality of its human resources, along with improving production indicators. By the first quarter of 2024, Viettel Software will focus on developing application products to meet the specific needs of each customer such as OCR, eKYC, SMOS, and Automation Test. The second quarter of 2024 is the period of promoting the exploration of international markets and has received many positive signals from Australia, Singapore, Japan, and Korea.

As proof of this, Mr. Bui Trinh added that Viettel Software has successfully passed the rigorous application review and interview rounds to successfully upgrade its CMMI Dev certificate from level 3 to level 5 - the highest level. CMMI level 5 is considered a mandatory standard for a technology company to reach international standards. Although still young, Viettel Software has attracted the attention of many large customers, honored to receive "orders" to develop specialized software for fields such as aviation, insurance, and finance. In particular, revenue in the first 7 months of the year increased by 40.5% over the same period last year. The size of the staff increased from 1,000 (September 2023) to more than 1,500. These are telling numbers, demonstrating the tireless efforts of all Viettel Software employees on the path to reaching the big sea. After only one year, Viettel Software is gradually affirming its position on the domestic and international technology map.
