Vietnam Airlines "fuels" the Vietnamese team at the ASEAN CUP by putting wide-body aircraft into operation, replacing narrow-body aircraft.
Vietnam Airlines said that on January 3, 5 and 6, 2025, it will switch to operating wide-body Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 aircraft to replace narrow-body Airbus A321 aircraft to transport the Vietnam national football team, passengers and fans between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok.
Vietnam Airlines is operating 3 flights daily between Hanoi - Bangkok and 4 flights between Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok.
This is to "fuel" the Vietnam national football team and meet the wishes of fans before the second leg of the ASEAN CUP 2024 final on January 5, 2025 in Bangkok (Thailand).
This is an effort by the airline to commit to accompanying Vietnamese sports and fans at international tournaments to bring glory to the country.
Specifically, the airline plans to operate wide-body Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 aircraft on flights VN610 and VN611 between Hanoi and Bangkok on January 3, 5 and 6; and VN600 and VN601 between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok on January 5 and 6.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines is operating 3 flights per day between Hanoi - Bangkok and 4 flights between Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok. The airline will continuously monitor the travel demand of fans to flexibly increase flights or switch to wide-body aircraft, joining the whole country in cheering for the Vietnamese football team.
As the National Airline, Vietnam Airlines has accompanied the Vietnamese Sports Delegation in many international and regional tournaments such as: Olympic Games, Asian Games (ASIAD), Asian Para Games, Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), Southeast Asian Football Championship (AFF Cup)...
