On the morning of August 28, right after the talks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong witnessed the signing of seven new cooperation documents between ministries, sectors and agencies of the two countries. These are very important foundations for developing the bilateral relationship more deeply, strongly, practically and effectively in the coming time.
Here, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh and Minister of Manpower and Second Minister of Trade and Industry of Singapore Tan See Leng signed the Letter of Intent between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore on continuing to implement the Memorandum of Cooperation under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
The signing of the Letter of Intent affirms that the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Singapore share common interests in implementing bilateral cooperation under Article 6, paragraph 2 of the Paris Agreement to achieve climate change mitigation results, contribute to raising global climate ambition in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement, and bring about sustainable development benefits.
