Notable information provided by Mr. Tony Meng, General Director Delta Electronics Vietnam shared at the "Connecting Smart Mobility Industry" Workshop organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade of Taiwan (China) (TITA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) on November 1 in Hanoi.

Mr. Tony Meng said that Vietnam is witnessing a significant increase in the development of smart mobility solutions. The number of electric vehicles and smart transportation systems are increasingly popular and widely deployed.

"In the future, it is expected that the smart mobility industry in Vietnam will continue to grow strongly due to investment and support from the Government, increased awareness of environmental issues and the growing demand for convenient and sustainable mobility solutions," said Mr. Tony Meng.

At the workshop, Mr. Tran Kien, Deputy General Director of Advantech Vietnam Co., Ltd., provided an insight into the synergy between intelligent transportation systems and advanced public transportation systems. Mr. Kien emphasized the popularity of intelligent technology in traffic management, especially in the context of the rise of electric vehicle models and charging infrastructure.

"The use of smart technology to manage transport infrastructure is gradually becoming popular in provinces and cities. Mobile applications and real-time monitoring systems are deployed to improve safety and increase traffic flow. Along with that, public transport projects such as smart bus systems, smart parking systems and solutions to enhance public transport are also being deployed very vigorously," said Mr. Tran Kien.

Sharing with TG&VN on the sidelines of the Workshop on advice for businesses and partners in the Vietnamese electric vehicle industry to be able to take the lead and benefit from the development process in this field, Mr. Tran Kien said that businesses need to be prepared, invest heavily in research and development (R&D), seek cooperation opportunities with strategic partners of government agencies and other companies in the industry, and commit to quality and security.

"I want to emphasize that safety and quality are top priorities, building a reliable and robust solution for long-term business development, each charging station must provide international/national safety certificates and be approved by the electricity authority to check the wiring diagram, circuit breaker rating, on-site current leakage, then the charging station can start operating", Mr. Tran Kien recommended.

According to Mr. Cheng Chih Ting, Head of TAITRA Representative Office in Hanoi, through the Workshop, TAITRA hopes to share knowledge, experience and create cooperation opportunities with Vietnam - a market with great potential in this industry. The Workshop is not only an opportunity to promote the relationship between the two economies but also creates opportunities for dialogue, information exchange and establishment of key partnerships in the smart mobility industry.

At the conference, TAITRA introduced the 2024 Exhibitions on new trends and products in the field of smart mobility. The exhibitions will help promote cooperation and exchange of ideas, and enhance the reputation and presence of the smart mobility industry in the global market.

Accordingly, the 2035 E-Mobility Taiwan Exhibition will focus on renewable energy and electric vehicle solutions, introducing new vehicle models, advanced battery technology and innovations in electric vehicle charging; Taipei AMPA - the leading exhibition for the automotive and motorcycle industry, will introduce the latest trends in automotive design, safety technology, and achievements in autonomous vehicle development; AutoTronics Taipei - one of the leading exhibitions for automotive and motorcycle technology, will focus on IoT (Internet of Things) solutions and smart technology in the mobility industry.

At these exhibitions, Vietnamese and international enterprises will have the opportunity to showcase their products and services, seek new cooperation opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and enhance the reputation and presence of the smart mobility industry in the global market.
