On the afternoon of December 1, the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation held a meeting with voters of Districts 5, 8, and 11 after the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly.
Delegates attending the conference included Mr. Le Minh Tri, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy; Mr. Le Thanh Phong, Chief Justice of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court; Mr. Nguyen Tri Thuc, Director of Cho Ray Hospital.
Talking with delegates, voters of the 3 districts expressed their concern about recent incidents and cases that have caused public outrage.
Voter Tran Phuong Lai (District 11) mentioned the prosecution of Mr. Luu Binh Nhuong. This has attracted the attention of the people and public opinion because Mr. Nhuong has made many notable statements about social issues.

Voter Lai hopes that the case involving Mr. Liu Pingruong will be closely examined and monitored. Through that, the people will agree with the implementation of justice to ensure fairness and objectivity, and the criminals will also be "convinced".
At the meeting, voter Dang Van Ranh (District 11) proposed that the National Assembly make adjustments in the field of financial and banking management to prevent similar incidents like Van Thinh Phat. In addition, efforts should be made to trace the damaged assets in the Van Thinh Phat case to remedy the consequences.
"Through the Van Thinh Phat case, we see that if corruption and negativity occur in anti-corruption agencies, it will leave extremely serious consequences for the country. The National Assembly needs to have regulations to strengthen supervision, inspection, investigation, and settlement of complaints and denunciations. We should not just sit on a horse and see the flowers," said a voter from District 11.
Responding to voters' opinions, Director Le Minh Tri informed that the case related to Mr. Luu Binh Nhuong is being investigated and handled by the agencies in accordance with regulations. There is also a control mechanism in the prosecution agencies, so voters should not be impatient or suspicious.
"A person can be right here and right there, but if he doesn't keep it, he will still get into trouble normally," the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy stated his opinion.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy informed that three cases related to Van Thinh Phat have been initiated for investigation. Currently, the investigation agencies have only concluded phase 1 of one case.
Regarding the issue of recovering lost assets in the Van Thinh Phat case, the agencies have thought, discussed, and worked hard. However, the authorities must ensure that the crime is proven, the assets are recovered, and other related issues are in accordance with regulations, the right people, and the right crimes.
