Considered the "Green Pearl" of Ha Tinh province, Vu Quang National Park - ASEAN Heritage Park is a common home to many species of animals and plants with a diverse ecosystem.
Vu Quang National Park embraces the Ngan Truoi basin - a majestic river in the middle of the Truong Son mountain range.
Upstream, the Ngan Truoi River is likened to a giant snake winding through rugged mountains.
Downstream of this river, Ngan Truoi Lake was formed in late 2017, after 8 years of construction, becoming the 3rd largest reservoir in Vietnam.
With an area of about 40km2, Ngan Truoi Lake not only provides water for agricultural production, industry, aquaculture, daily life, and ensures the ecological environment, but is also an area with a charming river landscape amidst the mountains.
