In recent years, Quang Yen Town has always focused on mobilizing many resources to invest in building and developing a system of grassroots cultural and sports facilities.
The cultural house of Ward 5, Quang Yen Ward (Quang Yen Town) has been built spaciously, cleanly and beautifully and is ready to be put into operation.
Standing in front of the spacious premises of the neighborhood cultural house, Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Neighborhood 5, Quang Yen Ward (Quang Yen Town), shared: The neighborhood cultural house 5 used to be a level 4 house, quite cramped, so every time the neighborhood organized cultural and artistic activities that attracted a large number of people, it had to be located in places with spacious spaces. This greatly affected the effectiveness of the neighborhood's movement activities, as well as in the propaganda and dissemination of the Party and State's policies and laws to the majority of people. In early 2024, Neighborhood 5 received attention from the local government to invest in building a new cultural house with a total area of over 200m2, solid, spacious, clean and beautiful. The people in our neighborhood were very happy and excited.
In order to put the project into effective operation soon, the neighborhood has mobilized over 100 million VND from the community to purchase equipment inside the cultural house with full equipment, such as: TV, electric fan, speaker system, amplifier, lighting... Thereby, not only meeting the meeting needs, but also being a place for people in the area to practice and organize cultural and artistic activities for many people.
Implementing the Project to improve the efficiency of the grassroots cultural and sports institutions system in Quang Ninh province in the period of 2021-2025, and the province's annual working theme of "Improving the quality of people's lives", from the beginning of 2024 to present, Quang Yen town has focused on building 18 new, spacious and modern village and residential area cultural houses. Thanks to that, meetings, cultural and artistic activities of residential areas are increasingly organized more frequently and in depth. Of the total 178 village and residential area cultural houses in the town, there are 86 cultural houses with large yards for people to play sports and exercise.
Cultural houses in villages and residential areas of Quang Yen town are built spaciously and beautifully, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
Mr. Le Minh Cuong, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Quang Yen Town, shared: Every time a cultural house is inaugurated, the people have more joy. Because through the construction of these works from the town to the grassroots, it has shown the attention of the Party and State in improving the spiritual life of the people. Although the area, scale, and design of the works are different, when put into operation, most of the cultural houses have promoted positive effects and become one of the favorite cultural, artistic and sports venues of the community; contributing to bringing the policies and laws of the Party and State to the people most effectively.
To take care of the material and spiritual life of the people, Quang Yen Town always pays attention to implementing many solutions to improve the effectiveness of grassroots cultural and sports institutions. Thanks to that, up to now, the number of cultural and sports institutions at all 3 levels (district, commune and village, area) of Quang Yen is quite large, covering about 90% and operating relatively effectively. Up to now, the whole town has 178/179 villages with cultural houses (reaching 99%). 100% of cultural houses are invested with tables and chairs, festive decorations, speakers for operation; 157 cultural houses meet standards (reaching 87%); 112 cultural houses in villages and neighborhoods have campuses installed with 5-10 outdoor exercise equipment (reaching 62%).
Promoting the achieved results, at the same time, to build cultural institutions to ensure the criteria for Quang Yen to become a city by 2025, the locality is actively implementing the project to upgrade the town stadium into Quang Yen Central Square according to city standards. The town is also planning the town Cultural and Sports Center in Cam La commune and Phong Hai ward with an area of 10.5 hectares, including stadium items, multi-purpose gymnasium, swimming pool, sports field, standard landscape area... Thereby, continuing to contribute to improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
