Besides the positive aspects, the work of ensuring human rights in Tuyen Quang province still has certain shortcomings and limitations: the exchange and coordination in implementing the work is still limited in quantity and not diverse in form; the implementation of the periodic reporting regime in some units has not been seriously implemented, leading to difficulties in synthesizing and advising to serve the work of leadership and direction...
The above-mentioned shortcomings and limitations stem from many objective and subjective causes. One of them is that the understanding of a number of Party committees, leaders, cadres and Party members about the situation of human rights work in the new situation is still limited, not keeping up with the rapid and unpredictable developments of the world situation. That affects the ability to forecast "correctly and accurately" the situation in the coming time, serving as a premise and basis for timely implementation of measures in the struggle for and protection of human rights.
Speaking at the Conference, Colonel Ha Phuc Thinh, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Human Rights Steering Committee of Tuyen Quang province, said that the world and regional situation has many complicated developments, directly affecting the political security and foreign affairs of countries. Hostile forces have not given up their plot to eliminate the leadership role of the Party and the socialist political system in Vietnam, increasing pressure on democracy and human rights to create factors and seeds of instability from within.
According to Colonel Ha Phuc Thinh, some countries and international organizations have made incorrect and biased assessments of the situation of democracy, human rights, ethnicity and religion in Vietnam. Many reports are biased and lack objectivity on information and the situation of human rights, ethnicity and religion in Vietnam, including the work of fighting and eliminating the activities of the "illegal organization Duong Van Minh" in Tuyen Quang province.
Colonel Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Head of the Human Rights Section, Standing Office of the Human Rights Steering Committee, said: In the coming time, the world and regional situation will continue to develop in a complex and unpredictable manner. Democracy, human rights, ethnicity, and religion are still the main directions that reactionary and hostile forces exploit to exert pressure and incite opposition. Therefore, the work of ensuring human rights and combating the sabotage activities of hostile and reactionary forces is a regular, continuous, long-term task and requires the joint efforts of the entire political system at all levels.
"Human rights work must closely combine "building" and "fighting", on the basis of best ensuring people's rights," Colonel Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong emphasized.
At the training conference, delegates listened to the reporters present 02 topics including: Human rights work in the new situation; Ensuring freedom of belief and religion, identifying activities that take advantage of freedom of belief and religion to sabotage Vietnam.
In his closing speech at the Conference, Colonel Ha Phuc Thinh, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department and Deputy Head of the Provincial Human Rights Steering Committee, affirmed that the Conference provided practical information and updated the latest situation on human rights work.
