From July 9 to 11, the 8th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, 2021 - 2026, took place.

From July 9 to 11, at the Provincial Convention Center, the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, held its 8th session. At this session, the Provincial People's Council focused on discussing and evaluating the results of the implementation of socio -economic development tasks in the first 6 months of the year; deciding on key goals, tasks, and solutions for the last 6 months of 2024; and at the same time reviewing, discussing, and deciding on many other important issues of the province.

From July 9-11, the 8th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, took place.

On the afternoon of July 9, the Provincial People's Council divided into 8 discussion groups to contribute opinions to reports, submissions, and draft resolutions submitted to the meeting.

On the morning of July 10, after the opening speech of Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Council listened to and commented on the reports of the Provincial People's Committee on: the socio-economic development situation in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2024; results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations before and after the 7th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026; the implementation of the public investment plan and the National Target Program in the first 6 months of the year, directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2024; the implementation of state budget revenue and expenditure in the first 6 months of the year and the expected implementation of budget revenue and expenditure in 2024; synthesized voters' opinions and recommendations sent to the 8th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council... The Provincial People's Committee reported to the Provincial People's Council the submissions on the issuance of mechanisms and policies to promote socio-economic development of the province, and at the same time amended a number of resolutions to suit the actual situation, in accordance with the law, and abolished a number of resolutions that were no longer appropriate. Next, the delegates listened to reports and submissions from the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, and reports on the results of the examination of the Provincial People's Council committees.

On the morning of July 10, comrade Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, will give a speech at the meeting.

On the afternoon of July 10, the Provincial People's Council continued to divide into discussion groups to contribute opinions to reports and submissions to the meeting; the groups registered the content of their speeches, discussions and questions at the meeting hall. On the same afternoon, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council met with 8 groups of delegates to listen to the results of the 2 group discussion sessions, and agreed on the content of the discussion and questions at the meeting hall on July 11.

On July 11, delegates of the Provincial People's Council and heads of departments and branches spoke at the meeting hall about issues related to the implementation of mechanisms, policies, and resolutions issued by the Provincial People's Council, and the socio-economic development tasks of the province in recent times. The Provincial People's Council conducted a question-and-answer session at the meeting hall focusing on issues of concern, concerns, and recommendations from voters and people.

At this session, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee will speak to clarify the results achieved in socio-economic development in the first 6 months of the year, emphasize the key tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2024, and answer the contents of the delegates and people's recommendations and reflections. Based on the submissions, the Provincial People's Council will pass resolutions; the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council will deliver a closing speech at the session.

According to the announcement of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council: The 8th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council continues to have many innovations in the direction and administration. Reports and submissions are carefully examined, ensuring quality and will be presented briefly; some contents will be researched by delegates themselves, increasing the time for delegates to discuss reports, submissions, and draft resolutions submitted to the session; especially discussing limitations, finding causes and proposing solutions to overcome difficulties, successfully implementing the goals and tasks of socio-economic development in the last 6 months of the year and the whole year of 2024. This question and answer session will be given more time, focusing on groups of issues that voters and people are interested in and recommend: agriculture and rural development, industry and trade, construction, labor - war invalids and social affairs, information and communication... Along with that, the Provincial People's Council continues to apply "paperless sessions", all documents will be digitized to serve delegates to save time and costs, contributing to improving the quality of the session.

The meetings of the Provincial People's Council on the morning of July 10 and July 11 will be broadcast live on Thai Binh Radio and Television.
