From July 10 to 12, the 24th Session of the 10th Quang Nam Provincial People's Council took place.

According to the working plan, at this session, the Provincial People's Council will review reports of the Provincial People's Committee on the socio-economic development, national defense and security situation in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks in the last 6 months of 2024; the state budget revenue and expenditure situation in the first 6 months of the year and some solutions for budget management in the last 6 months of 2024; thrift practice and waste prevention in the first 6 months of 2024; crime prevention and law violations in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks in the last 6 months of 2024; inspection work, citizen reception, settlement of petitions, complaints and denunciations and anti-corruption and negativity work in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks in the last 6 months of 2024.

At the same time, review the report assessing the implementation of the public investment plan in the first 6 months of 2024 and the expected public investment plan for 2025; report on the direction and administration of the Provincial People's Committee in the first 6 months of 2024; report on responding to voters' opinions in the province after the 18th Session of the 10th Provincial People's Council.

Regarding the contents under its decision-making authority, the Provincial People's Council will consider supplementing tasks and solutions for socio-economic development, ensuring security, politics, and social order and safety in the last 6 months of 2024; and the expected Public Investment Plan for 2025.

The Provincial People's Council will also consider adjusting and allocating the remaining public investment capital plan for 2024; updating, adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment capital plan for the period 2021 - 2025; adjusting the provincial budget capital source to implement the adjustment of the investment policy of the Central Region Linkage Project in Quang Nam province; piloting mechanism of decentralization for Phuoc Son district in managing and organizing the implementation of national target programs for the period 2021 - 2025 according to Resolution No. 111, dated January 18, 2024 of the National Assembly...

Also at this session, in addition to discussing and approving the overall project on rearranging administrative units at district and commune levels in Quang Nam province for the period 2023 - 2025, the Provincial People's Council will consider a number of important drafts on personnel policies.

In particular, it stipulates additional support policies for leaders and managers who do not meet the age requirements for re-election or re-appointment to hold positions and titles according to their terms in agencies of the Party, the State, and socio-political organizations; decides on the number of contracts in public service units with regular expenditures guaranteed by the State in the education sector for the 2024-2025 school year in Quang Nam province; approves the project to improve the organization and operation of the Farmers' Support Fund of Quang Nam province; decides on the allocation of additional numbers for cadres, civil servants and non-professional workers at the commune level according to the provisions of Decree No. 33, dated June 10, 2023 of the Government...
