VOV online newspaper reported that on October 31, the General Administration of Customs of China announced that, based on the relevant provisions of the “Border Health and Quarantine Law of the People’s Republic of China” and specific implementation regulations, the agency decided to allow people entering and leaving the country to not need to fill out the “Exit and Entry Health Declaration Card of the People’s Republic of China” form. This decision will take effect from 0:00 on November 1.
However, those entering or leaving the country who show signs of infectious diseases such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, unexplained subcutaneous bleeding or are diagnosed with an infectious disease must proactively declare their health to customs and coordinate with this agency to do a good job of quarantine such as measuring body temperature, conducting epidemiological investigations, conducting medical examinations, and taking samples for testing.
China's General Administration of Customs also warned that those who conceal or evade quarantine will be held legally responsible; those who cause the spread of infectious diseases or pose a serious risk of spreading will be held criminally responsible.
According to VNA, since December last year, China has gradually relaxed epidemic control measures in accordance with the Covid-19 epidemic situation. Earlier this year, China removed quarantine regulations for foreign visitors, only requiring them to declare the results of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests within 48 hours before boarding a flight to China.
Next, from August 30, visitors to China will not have to take a Covid-19 test using PCR or antigen before entering the country.
