(Dan Tri) - In 2024, there will be about 20 high schools in Hanoi's inner city districts with a benchmark score for grade 10 of around 7-7.5 points/subject, concentrated in Nam Tu Liem, Long Bien and Thanh Xuan districts.
At the benchmark score of 7-7.5 points/subject for grade 10, Nam Tu Liem, Long Bien and Thanh Xuan districts each have 3 schools. Of these, Dai Mo High School took 34.5 points in the supplementary admission round, which means only 6.9 points/subject.
The remaining schools include: Tran Hung Dao - Thanh Xuan (7.55 points/subject), Trung Van (7.25 points/subject), Xuan Phuong (7.45 points/subject), Khuong Dinh (7.25 points/subject), Khuong Ha (7.15 points/subject), Thach Ban (7.2 points/subject), Phuc Loi (7.45 points/subject), Ly Thuong Kiet (7.05 points/subject).
Dong Da District also has 2 schools with scores below 38: Dong Da (7.3 points/subject) and Quang Trung (7.55 points/subject).
Tay Ho, Hoang Mai, Ha Dong, Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung districts, each district has 1 school with less than 38 entrance scores.
Notably, Doan Ket High School (Hai Ba Trung) took 23.75 points. However, this score does not reflect the school's average annual benchmark score. In previous years, Doan Ket School took 7-8 points/subject.
Schools set the standard score for grade 10 at 7-7.5 points/subject (Table: Hoang Hong).
In 2024, Hanoi's 10th grade entrance exam scores will fluctuate dramatically.
Many schools in suburban areas or at the bottom of the list increased their scores. About 10 schools increased their scores from 2.25 to 8 points.
Meanwhile, the top group of schools has two trends, either decreasing by 1-2 points or increasing by 0.25-1.25 points.
Some schools dropped sharply by 2-3 points. In particular, Doan Ket school dropped by 16.75 points.
In the supplementary enrollment round on July 12, 59 schools continued to reduce their admission scores. Among them, two schools were allowed to enroll students in excess: Doan Ket High School and Minh Quang High School.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, a math teacher in Hanoi, advised students and parents not to worry if the results of the first 9th grade exam are not high. Because students still have at least 7 months to prepare for the 10th grade exam.

"If the current test score is 6.5-7, students can completely improve it to 7.5-8 points by studying scientifically, working hard and having high determination.
You should divide your goals into small ones to achieve, consolidate your basic knowledge firmly, and not rush to achieve high results right away.
This year's exam has many innovations, but it is new to all students. Worrying about which subjects to take and how to take the exam is unnecessary. Schools all have review plans for their students, so students can rest assured to review," Ms. Huyen shared.
The 2025 public 10th grade exam will follow the 2018 General Education Program. The number of exam subjects according to the draft High School Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training is 3 subjects, including compulsory math and literature as the 3rd subject, which changes every year.
Currently, Hanoi and other provinces have not announced the plan for the third subject in grade 10.
