The first military school to recruit students based on aptitude test scores

The Military Technical Academy has just announced its 2024 regular university enrollment plan with many new points. This year, the school uses 4 enrollment methods:

Method 1, direct admission, priority admission is implemented according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense.

Method 2, selecting excellent high school students, is implemented with candidates who won first, second, and third prizes in Math, Physics, Chemistry, and English at the provincial excellent student selection exam; candidates who have achieved international foreign language certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT, etc.

Method 3, admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Method 4, admission based on high school graduation exam results according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Compared to 2023, in this year's university entrance exam, the Military Technical Academy added the method of taking the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University for admission. This is an opportunity for candidates to have more wishes to be considered for admission to the Military Technical Academy.

To be eligible for admission to the Military Technical Academy, candidates need to complete the preliminary registration procedure at the Military Command of the district where they have registered their permanent residence, the registration time is approximately from March 15.

The Academy will announce the enrollment quota, process, and procedures for application and admission when there is an enrollment plan from the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense.

The Academy especially notes that candidates who wish to apply for admission using the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University need to proactively register and attend the exams organized by the universities, obtain a certificate of exam results to complete the admission procedure to the Academy.

The above enrollment plan is implemented according to the project "Organizing enrollment for full-time military universities and colleges in the period 2023 - 2030 and following years" of the Ministry of National Defense.

Accordingly, in 2024, in addition to the two admission methods implemented in 2023, military schools will have two more admission methods based on high school transcripts and admission from the competency assessment exam of domestic universities.

From 2025 to 2030, Military schools will implement an additional admission method based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by the Ministry of National Defense.
