Miss Phuong Nga quit her office job and switched to online sales to have a stable income and be proactive with her time.
On May 2, the beauty attracted attention when she walked the red carpet of an entertainment event after a long absence. Seven years since the court case related to financial scandals, Truong Ho Phuong Nga has gradually returned to activities such as fashion shows and being a guest on talk shows. On this occasion, she talked about changes in her life and work.
- Why did you accept to participate in many showbiz activities recently?
- I accepted the offer because of my close relationship with the production team and the meaning of the program. In addition, I found joy and positive energy when meeting young people, especially Gen Z. I felt like I was back in my youth with an enthusiastic image, always wanting to express myself when I started my career. I am happy for the current generation because many of them are lucky to meet mentors and good teams to go in the right direction and develop their talents.
Recently, I participated in the Beauty Journey program for women, listening to their daily stories, sharing their deadlocks and psychological barriers in their lives. I sympathized and had the opportunity to share my personal perspective so that women could be more optimistic.

- What are you satisfied with in your life recently?
- I appreciate what I have and am happy to receive greetings and encouragement from many people I have never met. They give me the same affection as family.
When I first returned to life after two years of social isolation, I had to learn to adapt to many things, from accepting changes in life to updating new knowledge. Now my life is orderly and stable as I wish.
In the current difficult context, I find that having a job and a stable income is a lucky and precious thing. At the beginning of the year, I stopped working in the office and started trying my hand at online sales - a trend that many people are pursuing.
- What do you think when many people think that famous people selling products online reduces their image value?
- To me, every profession has its own value and deserves respect. I have never seen my friends in showbiz or famous people livestreaming to sell products as having their position or reputation lowered. On the contrary, I feel in them a breakthrough, daring to embark on a new path.
I love this job because it gives me the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge. I get to be closer to many people, and at the same time, I have more time to take better care of myself and my family.

- What made you change?
- I contemplate life every day. In modern society, racing against time, upgrading oneself, overcoming challenges to develop is inevitable. For example, after the incident, I forced myself to explore and move forward more so as not to fall behind. I think studying is never enough if you want to achieve results.
- When you return to showbiz, how are your thoughts and feelings different from before?
- When I was young, I entered the entertainment industry with the mindset of wanting to experience and explore. Now, I look at things more calmly. I understand better that behind any successful name or project, there is a team of people silently supporting. When I feel more deeply the effort and dedication of the team, I appreciate the work in this field.
As for art, I realize that besides each individual's efforts, glory is a reward from "God". If they are lucky enough to have it, they must contribute responsibly.
I still have a passion for entertainment but will consider events more carefully. Before invitations, I ask myself what I can do and what results I can bring to the project. If I see that I can bring positive value to the audience, I will participate.

- How do you care about love?
- Honestly, I don't care about love because my current spiritual life is full. I have many meaningful things to pursue, I just hope to have enough health and time to finish all my work.
Recently, when I livestream, I chat with people more, my spirit and mood become more open and happy. I keep my familiar hobbies such as watching movies, writing new lyrics for songs, reading books.
I am conscious of keeping fit, mainly maintaining a good skin care routine and combining it with a balanced diet. I like to walk on the beach, and occasionally do light yoga at home.

Truong Ho Phuong Nga, 37 years old, was born in Hanoi. She won the Miss Vietnam crown in Russia in 2007. After winning the crown, the beauty did not immediately enter the entertainment industry, focusing on her university studies. In 2009, she returned to Vietnam and gradually gained attention through her work as a fashion photographer, MC, actress, and song writer.
After the financial scandal that lasted from 2015 to 2019, Phuong Nga lived a private life, mainly developing her business.
