Ho Chi Minh City Open University recruits additional majors from 16 points

Candidates taking the high school graduation exam this year

This morning (August 28), Ho Chi Minh City Open University announced the receipt of applications for additional admission to regular university training programs in 2024.

The school announces the recruitment of candidates who have graduated from high school (or equivalent), satisfy the conditions announced in the enrollment plan and have not confirmed enrollment in any training institution in 2024.

Accordingly, the school enrolls 6 majors with degrees granted by the school, with a score of 16 or higher (quota from 15-30 depending on the major). The score for receiving application for admission for high school students in region 3 is determined as the total score of 3 subjects/exams without coefficient. Priority points for subjects and regions are applied according to current admission regulations.

The school only considers admission for these majors based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam. Admission scores are converted to a 30-point scale and rounded to 2 decimal places, plus regional and subject priority points.

Admission scores are determined by the formula:

+ In case the admission combination of majors does not have subjects with coefficients: Admission score = Total score of 3 exams/subjects according to the registered admission combination + priority points.

+ In case of admission combination of majors with coefficient 2 subjects: Admission score = [(subject score multiplied by coefficient x 2) + total score of the remaining 2 subjects] x3/4 + priority points.

With the international joint program with a partner to grant degrees, the school recruits 13 majors with scores of 16 and above. For these majors, the school recruits candidates who graduated from high school in 2024 or earlier, with high school academic results (transcripts).

Candidates can use international language certificates to convert admission scores according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City Open University.

Candidates can register for additional admission on the admission portal of Ho Chi Minh City Open University from 9:00 a.m. this morning (August 28) to 5:00 p.m. on September 5. Each candidate can register for 2 wishes in order of priority from highest to lowest, candidates can only be admitted to 1 wish.
