On the morning of November 16, in Hanoi, Thuy Loi University held a ceremony to celebrate the 65th anniversary of its founding (1959-2024) and celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.
In his commemorative speech, Prof. Dr. Trinh Minh Thu - Rector of Thuyloi University (TU), recalled the glorious history with important milestones in the 65-year journey of construction and development of the university.
At the same time, the Principal of the University of Economics and Business also expressed his respect and gratitude to the first generation of teachers who laid the foundation for the formation and development of the University of Economics and Business.
By 2020, the school continued to develop the second School Development Strategy for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. With the goal: To build DHTL into a multidisciplinary, research-oriented university, one of the top 10 schools in Vietnam in the fields of engineering, technology, economics and management.
"With tireless efforts and solidarity of teachers and students, TNU has built its brand and reputation in the system of Vietnamese universities and become a multidisciplinary university, proactively linking with foreign training institutions; there is a close connection between the school, businesses and society to meet the development requirements of the country", the Rector of TNU emphasized.

At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Trinh Minh Thu also affirmed the determination of TLU in striving to successfully implement the school's development strategy for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 as a large-scale, strong, high-quality, prestigious, and internationally recognized multidisciplinary, research-oriented university.
In the context of the constantly changing world situation, the increasingly deep international integration process, fierce competition in enrollment, training, science and technology, high-quality human resources not only domestically but also with regional and international universities.
Therefore, teachers and students of the University of Water Resources are determined to carry out and successfully complete 6 key tasks:
Maintain unity and solidarity in the school, create a new atmosphere in training, science and technology, and innovation to develop the school comprehensively and firmly. Determined to build a healthy, modern and cultural school lifestyle imbued with the identity of DHTL.
Improve the organizational structure, streamline the staff, perfect the institutions, innovate the mechanism, and improve the operational efficiency of the School. Recruit high-quality lecturers for majors with great social demand. Develop mechanisms and solutions to attract high-quality human resources.
Review training programs, training content, innovate teaching and learning methods, innovate testing, inspection and assessment methods to continuously improve training quality. Promote scientific and technological activities, student scientific research, innovative start-up activities, especially increasing international publication index, patents, and useful solutions. Expand and improve the effectiveness of international cooperation in training and scientific research.

Invest in building facilities and laboratory equipment to serve the training and scientific research of teachers and students. Continue to invest in information technology infrastructure to serve digital transformation. Develop a sustainable financial scenario to prepare for university autonomy.
