The Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology has just announced its regular university admission method for 2024. According to the school, this year, the Academy's admission policy has some new points compared to previous years' admissions.
In terms of enrollment targets, candidates will have more opportunities to be admitted when the Academy increases its enrollment targets to a total of 5,200 for both training facilities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (4,280 targets in 2023).
Regarding enrollment and training, this year, the Academy plans to enroll 22 majors and training programs (an increase of 3 majors and training programs compared to 2023). In particular, it plans to enroll new majors and training programs as follows: Public Relations major, Game Design and Development program, Vietnam - Japan Information Technology program.
In 2024, the Academy will have 2 more high-quality programs with superior content and training quality and advantages for learners. The Academy plans to recruit 600 students for high-quality programs: Information Technology, Digital Marketing, Accounting according to ACCA international standards.
The Academy of Journalism and Communication has announced its plan for regular university admissions with a total target of 2,050 this year, an increase of 100 targets compared to last year.
The Academy will enroll students using the same 3 methods as in 2023, including: Considering academic records (15%), combined admission (15%), considering high school graduation exam scores (70%). This year, the Academy will reserve a quota for the highest high school graduation exam score method of 70%. The Academy accepts the conversion of English scores for candidates with English certificates.
The Academy of Finance has just announced its university admission method for 2024. Accordingly, in 2024, the total enrollment target for the regular university system of the Academy of Finance is expected to be 4,500, an increase of 300 targets compared to last year.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology plans to enroll 12,500 university-level students, an increase of 2,600 compared to 2023.
The reason for the increase in enrollment quota is that the school plans to open 7 new majors including: Digital Economics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Aesthetic Technology, and Financial Technology.
In 2024, in the police sector , schools will also simultaneously increase enrollment targets.
According to the announcement of the regular enrollment quota for universities and academies of the People's Public Security sector in 2024 by the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry plans to enroll 2,150 regular university training quotas allocated to 8 affiliated universities and academies (an increase of 150 quotas compared to 2023).
Admissions to public security schools this year will remain basically the same as in 2023, divided by region. Schools will retain the same 3 admission methods:
Method 1: Direct admission according to current admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.
Method 2: Direct admission combining international language certificates with high school academic results.
Method 3: Combine the 2024 high school graduation exam results with the results of the Ministry of Public Security's Assessment Test.
The Ministry of Public Security's competency assessment exam includes both multiple-choice and essay tests.
The multiple-choice test, in addition to the subject content, also tests logical thinking, judgment skills, and situation handling, in conjunction with the specific training requirements of the police industry. The essay test tests knowledge of two subjects: Math and Literature.
The formula for calculating university admission scores of the Ministry of Public Security is as follows:
Admission score = Total score of three graduation exams *2/5 + Assessment exam score *3/5 + Priority points according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training + Bonus points for excellent students at the national level.
