On the afternoon of February 23, a central delegation led by Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and worked at Ho Chi Minh City Children's Hospital.
Officially inaugurated in 2018, Ho Chi Minh City Children's Hospital is the first and only public hospital in the program of 5 investment projects to build new central and end-line hospitals nationwide to come into operation.
The hospital has 1,000 beds, 10 functional rooms and 29 clinical and paraclinical departments.
Sharing at the meeting, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated the pioneering and leading efforts of Ho Chi Minh City Children's Hospital, many specialized departments were formed to serve the healthcare work for children.
In the coming time, Mr. Nghia suggested that Ho Chi Minh City Children's Hospital and the city's health sector carefully study the overall strategy for healthcare for Vietnamese children from now until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
Strengthening the training of human resources, management team, and professional team to further improve their qualifications to meet international requirements. At the same time, strongly arouse medical ethics, self-reliance and self-improvement.
Facilities need to continue to be maintained, improved, and breakthrough areas for automation in the field should be selected. Conducting scientific research and collaborating with domestic and international hospitals will demonstrate the position and prestige of the unit and create conditions for exchanging experiences with international friends.
According to Mr. Nghia, with the planning of Tan Kien medical cluster, it is necessary to make efforts to build the most convenient traffic connection system, convenient for both medical staff and bringing satisfaction to patients.
