AFP. European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic called for a halt to fighting in the Gaza Strip and urgent fuel supplies to keep hospitals operating in the territory.
DAILY SABAH. A Turkish ship carrying equipment and supplies to set up a field hospital to assist people in the Gaza Strip has docked at the Egyptian port of El Arish.

AFP. EU foreign ministers have approved a policy adjustment that will soon allow those applying for visas to visit Schengen countries to obtain these documents online.
REUTER. The European Commission (EC) announced that the EU will make a “significant” financial contribution to a new international fund to tackle the devastation caused by climate change.
BLOOMBERG. EU military aid to Ukraine has reached 27 billion euros (about 28.8 billion USD) since the conflict with Russia broke out, according to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
TASS. Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet made any statements about running for president again in 2024, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

CNN. The US has opened the first commercial facility to capture CO2 directly from the air amid hopes the technology can be scaled up and help tackle global warming.
PRENSA LATINA. Residents in the Old Havana neighborhood protested against the chronic lack of clean water , a problem that many other neighborhoods in Cuba are facing due to drought and a deteriorating water supply network that is constantly experiencing problems.

MZ NEWS. Mozambique has exported 240,000 tons of cashew nuts in the past five years, earning $220 million, making it the country's top export by far, bringing in the most foreign exchange.
AL ARABIYA. Egypt has informed Israel that the Hamas Islamist movement plans to release a number of hostages in the coming days.
AFRICAN NEWS. Kenya is grappling with the aftermath of floods that have killed at least 38 people and displaced some 30,000 across the country in the past two weeks.
