Deploying the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses with a spirit of urgency and determination
At the first meeting of the Central Steering Committee to implement the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Steering Committee, agreed to establish a Steering Committee to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses at the provincial, district and communal levels, and noted that the direction and implementation must be synchronous from the central to the grassroots levels. The Prime Minister requested that the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses must be implemented with a high sense of responsibility, strong emotions, and innovative thinking; at the same time, he emphasized that time, intelligence, determination and drasticness are decisive factors for the success of this movement.
Following the direction of the Central Government, the Da Nang City Party Committee issued Decision No. 13056, establishing the City Party Committee's Steering Committee on the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the city, with 22 members of the Steering Committee, and at the same time issued Plan No. 06 in the spirit of "6 clear" according to the direction of the Prime Minister including: clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear objects, clear time and clear results. Districts, wards and communes have also completed the issuance of Decisions to establish Steering Committees at all levels and issued operating regulations, assigning tasks for implementation.
Recently, at the 2nd meeting of the Steering Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang, Head of the Steering Committee, requested localities to proactively and urgently implement related tasks, focusing on supporting the construction and repair of more than 1,000 houses for the subjects that have been reviewed and completed before May 1, 2025. The Secretary of the City Party Committee requested to urgently classify the subjects eligible for support in a specific and clear manner, not in general terms.

According to Directive No. 42 of the Prime Minister, there are three tasks to be completed in 2025, which are housing support for people with meritorious services, housing support for people under national target programs and eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, in addition to the two support groups above. In order to mobilize the consensus of the social community, recently, Da Nang city organized a launching ceremony to support the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses", calling on all people, cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, workers of agencies, units, enterprises, and organizations to respond and join hands to support the program from February 1 to July 31, 2025.
