The event was organized by the Vietnam Hepatobiliary Association, the Vietnam Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Association in collaboration with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Hepatobiliary Association, together with experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) in Vietnam and many other units on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, July 28, 2024, to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.

Nearly 600 delegates attended the Scientific Conference in person and online, including many leading international professors and experts from the United States, Canada, Japan and many other international organizations, along with leaders of the Ministry of Health with Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tri Thuc - Deputy Minister of Health and leaders of the Vietnam Medical Association with Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung - Vice President of the Association and leaders of the Vietnam Liver and Gallbladder Association; Vietnam Infectious Diseases Association, Vietnam Gastroenterology Association, Vietnam Cancer Association; along with doctors, experts, and delegates from large and small hospitals, military and civilian medical facilities across the country. According to recent figures, in our country, there are nearly 10 million people with viral hepatitis. The two main causes of liver cancer in Vietnam are the high rate of viral hepatitis and high alcohol consumption. The number of deaths due to liver cancer is the highest among all types of cancer, with the number of new cases and deaths each year being over 25,000 cases. This number of deaths is also 2.4 times higher than the world. Liver cancer, along with hepatitis and cirrhosis, has been and is a huge challenge for the country's health sector and the hepatobiliary sector in Vietnam. In that context, Traphaco always accompanies the Vietnam Hepatobiliary Association to organize the annual National Hepatobiliary Conference on World Hepatitis Day, July 28 every year, with the aim of raising awareness of viral hepatitis, causing hepatitis leading to serious illness and liver cancer, and updating new information in the prevention and treatment of hepatobiliary conditions. Participating in this program, Traphaco introduced to delegates liver tonic products from the famous oriental medicine brand Boganic to the modern medicine Acid Ursodeoxycholic, which is technology transferred from the Daewoong Group. At the same time, the Company also presented a topic to the Workshop entitled “Update new information on research and development of Traphaco’s Boganic product line”. In 1999, Boganic liver tonic officially entered the Vietnamese liver and gallbladder medicine market.
