(CLO) On March 12, in Hanoi, the People's Army Newspaper (QĐND) coordinated with the Legal Department of the Ministry of National Defense to organize the summary and award ceremony of the "Learning legal knowledge on the People's Army Newspaper" Contest in 2024 and launch the contest in 2025.
2024 is the second year this contest has been launched (starting from March 12, 2024 to October 11, 2024). Through 7 contests, the Organizing Committee has received about 150,000 entries, with an average of more than 20,000 contestants per contest. Contestants participated in the contest with a serious spirit, attitude, and high responsibility. Most of the entries answered the multiple-choice questions correctly, many answered all the questions correctly.
Delegates attended the summary and award ceremony of the 2024 "Learning Legal Knowledge on the People's Army Newspaper" Contest and launched the 2025 contest.
In the essay section, many of the entries were carefully and elaborately invested by the authors, of good quality, rich in emotion, showing that the authors had a firm grasp and deep understanding of legal knowledge. Among them, many military agencies and units had a high number of participants, namely: Army Officer School 1, Political Officer School, Army Officer School 2, Logistics Academy, Coast Guard Region 2 Command, Nursing Group 26 Nha Trang (Military Region 5), Air Force Officer School...
Immediately after the launching ceremony of the "Legal Knowledge Competition" in 2024, many agencies and units organized to respond to the competition at their level. Agencies and units also have many creative ways to attract a large number of participants. Not only requiring, motivating, and encouraging officers and soldiers of their units, some agencies and units also mobilized twin units, localities where the units are located, relatives and friends to participate.
Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong awarded the first collective prize of the year of the "Legal Knowledge Learning" Contest in the People's Army Newspaper in 2024 to the representative of Army Officer School 1.
Notably, the contest not only attracted officers and soldiers in the armed forces but also had the participation of a large number of veterans, civil servants, teachers, students living in provinces, large cities or in remote areas across the country.
At the end of the 2024 competition, the Organizing Committee selected outstanding entries to award collective and individual prizes. Accordingly, for collective prizes: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 8 impressive prizes; for individual prizes: 1 first prize; 2 second prizes; 3 third prizes; 5 consolation prizes; 5 promising entries prizes.

Speaking at the launching ceremony of the “Legal Knowledge Competition” on the People's Army Newspaper in 2025, Major General Doan Xuan Bo, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper, said that the 2025 Competition will be held nationwide from March to December 2025. Contestants: Cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, officers and soldiers in the People's Armed Forces, students, citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Vietnamese people living abroad.
Exam content: Study the legal system; codes of law; documents guiding the implementation of laws, regulations of the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Exam format: The exam is organized in the form of multiple-choice tests combined with essay writing on the Electronic People's Army Newspaper via the internet.
Skits to propagate and popularize the Law on Military Service were performed at the ceremony.
