On the morning of February 13, in Hanoi, the People's Army Newspaper held a press conference to introduce the Journalism Contest on the glorious Party and great Uncle Ho with the theme "Steadfastly Stepping Under the Party Flag". The contest was launched and directed by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, and the People's Army Newspaper was the organizing agency.

Attending the event were Mr. Tong Van Thanh, Director of the Press and Publication Department, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; representatives of agencies under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; news agencies and newspapers of the Central and the Army.
Speaking at the meeting, Major General Doan Xuan Bo, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest, said that the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam was a great turning point in the history of the development of the Vietnamese nation. After 95 years of building, fighting and growing, our Party, the vanguard of the working class, the working people and the entire Vietnamese nation, has led the country to overcome countless hardships and challenges, making glorious feats and great achievements, leaving a deep mark in the glorious history of the Vietnamese nation.
The press contest on writing about the glorious Party and great Uncle Ho with the theme "Steadfastly under the Party's flag" is a practical activity, a broad political activity on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), welcoming party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, and celebrating the country's major holidays in 2025.

Major General Doan Xuan Bo emphasized that the contest aims to widely propagate to cadres, party members, soldiers and people of all walks of life about the glorious history of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh; affirm the position, role, prestige, leadership capacity, governance and fighting strength of the Party; arouse and foster the trust and pride of cadres, soldiers and people in the Party and State.
At the same time, strengthen the strength of national solidarity, create social consensus on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; encourage and motivate our cadres, party members and people to overcome all difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities and chances, successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels towards the 12th Military Party Congress, the 14th National Party Congress, bringing the country into a new era - the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise.

The Organizing Committee will accept entries from February 5 to November 30 (based on the time of sending the email or the postmark on the envelope). Eligible entries will be published in publications of the People's Army Newspaper.
Entries must fall into one of the following categories: Political commentary, reflection, reportage, photojournalism and multimedia journalism (Longform, Infographic, Podcast, video clip).
The contest will be judged and awarded in December 2025.
The Organizing Committee will award: 5 A prizes, each worth 35 million VND; 10 B prizes, each worth 25 million VND; 25 C prizes, each worth 20 million VND; 25 consolation prizes, each worth 5 million VND; 10 certificates of merit to 10 groups with outstanding achievements, each worth 2 million VND. In addition, the Organizing Committee will consider awarding a Special Prize.
