Awarding ceremony of the Artistic Photography Contest on the topic of Vietnam's electricity "EVN

(NADS) - On the morning of August 22, in Hanoi, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the Vietnam Center for Archives and Exhibition of Artistic Photography organized the Award Ceremony and opening of the Artistic Photography Contest "EVN - 70 years of innovation with the country".

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the Artistic Photography Contest exhibition "EVN - 70 years of innovation with the country".

Attending the event were: National Assembly Deputy - Artist Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Lan, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Arts, Central Propaganda Department.

On the side of Vietnam Electricity Group, there were: Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vietnam Electricity Group; Mr. Cao Quang Quynh, Member of the Board of Members of Vietnam Electricity Group; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thanh, Vice President of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union...

On the side of the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts, there were: Fine Arts Association Ha Huu Duc, member of the Executive Committee, Director of the Vietnam ANT Archives and Exhibition Center; Fine Arts Association Xuan Chinh, member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Composition and Exhibition Committee; Fine Arts Association Hoang Dieu, Head of the Organizing Committee, Emulation, and members; Ms. Mai Thanh Nga, Deputy Chief of Office in charge.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vietnam Electricity Group, spoke at the ceremony.

This year's photo contest works reflect and convey excellently the development and application of technology in EVN's electricity production, transmission, distribution and customer services; stories of rural modernization; energy transition, towards a green economy.

National Assembly Deputy - NSNA Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists emphasized: Vietnam Electricity Group has coordinated with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to organize many meaningful activities to honor the great contributions of the Electricity industry in the journey of building, developing and innovating the country, especially organizing many photography camps across the country.

After nearly 3 months of launching the contest, the Organizing Committee received 3,369 works (including 3,160 single photos and 209 photo series) from 382 authors from 59 provinces and cities across the country. Through 2 preliminary and final rounds, the Jury selected 150 works for the exhibition and 11 works were selected to receive awards including 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals, 3 Bronze Medals and 5 Encouragement Prizes.

Specifically, the list of authors and winning works is as follows:

Gold Medal
- Author: Vo Thanh Vinh (Nghe An) with the work: Sparkling orange musical notes

Silver Medal
- Author: Nguyen Van Dong (Khanh Hoa) with work: Mastering new technology
- Author: Vu Phi Long (Son La) with the work: Morning dew on Son La Hydroelectric project

Bronze
- Author: Kieu Anh Dung (HCMC) with work: Soc Trang Electricity - Rural electrification
- Author: Nguyen Phuc Anh (Thai Binh) with the work: New day on Thai Binh thermal power plant
- Author: Vu Minh Quan (Hanoi) with work: 500kV line circuit 3

Encouragement Prize
- Author: Dang Hong Long (Binh Thuan) with the work: Overhaul of turbine unit S2 - Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant
