On the morning of February 17, Ho Chi Minh City residents welcomed a new day in cool weather, with the lowest temperature ranging from 23 - 24 degrees Celsius.
Assessing the weather situation in Ho Chi Minh City in the new week, the Southern Hydrometeorological Station said that currently, the continental cold high pressure (cold air) is strengthening weakly (shifting to the east). Above, the subtropical high pressure across the Central region is operating stably.
From now until February 26, the cold air will continue to strengthen weakly from the east, then stabilize and weaken, gradually changing. Around February 21-22, the continental cold high pressure is likely to strengthen again. Around February 18-19, the subtropical high pressure will move westward, the upper easterly wind zone is likely to affect the weather in the Southern region.

From the main weather patterns mentioned above, the Southern Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that from now until the end of February, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City will likely be chilly at night and early morning.
Notably, from February 19 to 22, some places in Ho Chi Minh City will have unseasonal rain with a probability of about 60%. On February 23, the city center and the districts of Cu Chi, Nha Be, Can Gio, and Binh Tan will have a probability of about 60% rain. The remaining days will have little rain, with the lowest temperature ranging from 24 to 25 degrees Celsius and the highest from 32 to 33 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also forecasts that from the night of February 16 to February 26, the Southern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. In particular, the Southern Central Highlands and the Southeast region from around February 21 to 23 may have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places.
Today (February 17), the Southern provinces and cities will have clouds, sunny days, and scattered showers at night. The lowest temperature will be from 23 to 26 degrees Celsius, the highest from 30 to 33 degrees Celsius, and some places will be over 33 degrees Celsius.
