In order to improve digital knowledge and skills for members of Community Digital Technology Teams in the city, on September 16, the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the National Digital Transformation Agency (Ministry of Information and Communications) organized an online conference to disseminate training and fostering for members of Community Digital Technology Teams connecting from the bridge point at the Department of Information and Communications to districts, communes, wards, towns, and cities.
According to Mr. Lam Dinh Thang, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, the city always determines that all information technology applications must always aim to make it easy and convenient for people to use, all applications must revolve around the needs and interests of the people.
In addition, to successfully implement Digital Government and Digital Society, the city needs to have digital citizens. Therefore, the Community Digital Technology Team plays a very important role in the city's digital transformation process, helping the city form local digital citizens through propaganda, raising awareness, and providing guidance on digital transformation for the people.
With the determination of leaders at all levels, currently, in Ho Chi Minh City, 2,620 Community Digital Technology Teams with 11,059 members have been established to participate in propaganda work, raise awareness and support people in digital transformation work in the locality.
In 2023, the Community Digital Technology Team in localities actively participated in propaganda activities, raising awareness of the City's digital transformation, guiding people about online public services, VNEID application, etc.
Currently, some localities have issued policies for Community Digital Technology Teams such as: Binh Duong, Da Nang, Ha Tinh, Yen Bai. The Department of Information and Communications is reviewing and researching policies for Community Digital Technology Teams in Ho Chi Minh City to ensure that they are consistent with the arrangement of neighborhoods and hamlets in localities to advise the City People's Committee.
In addition, the Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City noted that in addition to annual training and advanced training in digital transformation skills, the Community Digital Technology Team should participate in online learning on the OneTouch platform of the Ministry of Information and Communications and other channels of the city.
At the Conference, representatives of the National Digital Transformation Agency presented 3 main contents including: General introduction to the Community Digital Technology Team and the role of digital skills; form of implementation of activities; details of the task groups of the Community Digital Technology Team.
The training conference to disseminate community digital skills to members of the Community Digital Technology Group is a joint activity between the National Digital Transformation Agency and the Department of Information and Communications annually according to the program of the Ministry of Information and Communications. Through the training conference, it is aimed to help members of the Community Digital Technology Group have a more correct and complete understanding of digital transformation; gain more digital knowledge and skills to be able to promote their role well, widely propagate to the people, make people change their habits, have a correct understanding of digital transformation, the digital economy brings practical benefits, serving the people's lives.
