On the sponsor side, Mr. Tran Bao Minh, Vice Chairman of Nutifood Board of Directors, said that the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River is a “gift” that all Nutifood staff unanimously express their gratitude to the land and millions of consumers in Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country who have loved and trusted it.

"As a start-up and growing business from Saigon, that has fueled our love for this place and nurtured our dream of doing something to make this land more beautiful and more livable. The pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River with its environmental, landscape and economic values for the people and the city has made our wish come true," said Mr. Minh.

The pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River is 500 m long, starting from Bach Dang Wharf Park (District 1), the foot of the bridge is the riverside park and outside the boundary of Area A - South of the central square of Thu Thiem Urban Area (Thu Duc City).

The pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River is designed in the shape of a water coconut leaf, a very typical leaf of the Southern region. The bridge will be like a soft leaf gently floating on the Saigon River, helping to recall the familiar, rustic image of the past of the Southern region and will also be a new symbol, helping to connect with the modern, towards the future of the city named after Uncle Ho.

This design was carried out by the joint venture Chodai - Takashi Niwa Architects and Chodai Kisojiban Vietnam, selected by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee from a competition organized by the Department of Planning and Architecture 4 years ago.

Not only does it have a memorable design, the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River is also as beautiful as a work of art. In addition to serving pedestrians, the bridge also has lanes for cyclists and people with disabilities.
