On the evening of September 27, at the National Convention Center, the Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Association (HanoiBA) held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Movement, and received the Second Class Labor Medal.
According to Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen, the number of enterprises has been growing quite well every year with about 30,000 newly established enterprises each year, bringing the total number of enterprises in Hanoi to over 369,000 enterprises.
Thanks to the efforts of the business community and people, the socio-economic development of Hanoi City in the first 6 months of 2023 still achieved quite positive results, in which the City's total GRDP increased by 5.97%.
Total budget revenue in the area reached 220.1 trillion VND, equal to 62.4% of the annual estimate, up 22.9% over the same period; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached 369 trillion VND, up 10.4% over the same period; FDI attraction reached 2.3 billion USD, leading the country and exceeding the results for the whole year of 2022.
At the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to the Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Association.
Over 30 years of development and growth (1993-2023), the Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Association has made constant efforts to gather young businesses in the city, with the spirit of youth and dedication, actively contributing to the city's socio-economic development.
Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Association currently has more than 3,000 member enterprises with an average total revenue of 150,000 billion VND per year, contributing 12,000 billion VND to the budget, creating 110,000 jobs.
Chairman of the Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Association Tran Dang Nam said that the celebration is an opportunity for generations of young entrepreneurs in the capital to think together to build a vision for the coming decades, focusing on strengthening "cohesion" to win right at "home" and together step forward to reach out to the world.
At the same time, raise the level of enterprises through training activities, sharing knowledge for young entrepreneurs; and enhance the role of young entrepreneurs in policy making.
