On June 16, at Hien Lam Pavilion in Hue Imperial City, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center organized the exhibition "Vietnam's Mountains and Rivers on the Nine Tripod Cauldrons", introducing 32 typical images of seas, rivers, mountains... from all over the country embossed on the Nine Tripod Cauldrons of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Many researchers in Hue participated in the exhibition.

These images are scanned, arranged into 9 clusters with detailed information, displayed by theme so that visitors have an overview of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty when visiting the Imperial Citadel.

The Nine Tripod Cauldrons are nine large bronze cauldrons, cast in December 1835, symbolizing the power, legitimacy, and desire for longevity of the Nguyen Dynasty, demonstrating the ancient Vietnamese people's profound understanding of the country and all things.

In March 1837 (January of the 18th year of Minh Mang), the Nguyen Dynasty held a thanksgiving ceremony and placed the Nine Dynastic Urns in front of The To Temple inside the Hue Imperial City.

The exhibition also attracted many young people to participate.

According to the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, each urn has 17 reliefs of decorative images with themes of plants, animals, landscapes, landmarks and 2 Chinese characters with the name of the urn. The reliefs on each urn are arranged in 3 rows around the body of the urn.

These decorative patterns show diversity and richness in style and decorative themes, generally representing images of the universe, creatures, plants, geographical locations, artifacts..., and can be considered a living encyclopedia of Vietnam at that time.

The images are carved elaborately on the Nine Tripod Cauldrons.

With important cultural and historical values, in 2012 the Nine Dynastic Urns were recognized as a national treasure by the Prime Minister. Currently, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center has completed the construction of a documentary heritage dossier for the Nine Dynastic Urns, submitting it to UNESCO for recognition as a World Documentary Heritage.
