Attending the event were Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam, representatives of leaders of ministries, branches, Laos-Vietnam Cooperation Committee and many representatives of enterprises from Vietnam, Japan, Korea, USA, Thailand, Malaysia.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam said that Vietnam and Laos are two neighboring countries with a special friendship and are both in the process of deep integration with the international and regional community. In the process of integration, in addition to their own potential and internal strength, the two countries need the joint efforts, contributions and cooperation of domestic and foreign businesses. Therefore, in recent times, during the visits of high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries, the two sides have successfully coordinated to organize many conferences and seminars on economic cooperation, investment promotion and trade between Vietnam and Laos.
Through conferences, seminars, and investment and trade promotion programs, the two sides have exchanged and shared experiences, sought measures to promote economic cooperation, and supported each other for mutual development. As a result, Laos is now the country attracting the largest foreign investment from Vietnam and Vietnam continues to maintain its position as one of the leading countries in foreign investment in Laos; bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and Laos has increased year after year, contributing positively to the cultivation of the special Vietnam-Laos relationship and the socio-economic development of each country.
Ambassador Minh Tam emphasized that this is a good opportunity for Lao Government agencies to convey messages and information on policies to promote investment attraction, management mechanisms of related sectors and fields to the Vietnamese and foreign business community. In addition, this is also a good opportunity for Vietnamese and foreign businesses to learn about Laos, a country with great potential, a new market with its own competitive advantages; an opportunity to create connections between businesses and businesses, businesses with the government and related agencies.

Also at the event, Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Manh Dong said that in recent years, along with the growth and affirmation of the position of the Vietnamese community abroad, the Vietnamese business community abroad has continuously developed strongly in both breadth and depth. The Vietnamese business community abroad with abundant resources, knowledge, experience, high level of science and technology, with a network spread across many locations across five continents, with enthusiasm and dedication, has made positive and important contributions, contributing to the growth achievements, as well as other great achievements of Vietnam.
The Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese believes that the potential and opportunities for investment, economy and trade in Laos will bring new successes and great benefits to Vietnamese businesses abroad, thereby actively contributing to the socio-economic development of both countries, commensurate with the unique relationship in the world.
At the seminar, delegates shared their successes and lessons learned in the investment and business production process, thereby helping participants create important connections, gain more information and experience to build work programs and make investment and business plans in the coming time in Laos.

At the end of the discussion, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam pointed out that Laos is a potential investment destination for Vietnamese and international enterprises. Vietnam and Laos still have a lot of room for trade and investment cooperation, especially Laos will be a potential investment destination in the fields of agriculture, tourism, logistics, and infrastructure for Vietnamese and international enterprises in the coming time. Vietnamese enterprises are increasingly affirming their role, position, and positioning in the international arena, knowing how to take advantage of opportunities from the revolution in science and technology, digital transformation, and circular economy to increase production and business efficiency, and enhance competitiveness against major competitors. Lao government agencies have the opportunity to receive opinions from the Vietnamese and foreign business community to gradually improve national legal mechanisms and policies to improve the effectiveness of attracting foreign investment.
