Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi and leaders of departments, branches and localities inspected the progress of the Ho Chi Minh Road Construction Investment Project, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section, passing through Binh Duong province.
The Ho Chi Minh Road Construction Investment Project, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section, passes through Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh and Long An provinces, starting at Tru Van Tho commune, Bau Bang district, Binh Duong province, ending at National Highway N2 in Duc Hoa district, Long An province, with a total length of about 72.75km, of which the section passing through Binh Duong province is 31.15km long with a 6-lane highway scale, designed speed of 100km/h.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi listened to the construction unit report on the progress of the Ho Chi Minh Road Construction Investment Project, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section, passing through Binh Duong province.
The project has a total of 14 bridges (including 03 new bridges and 11 bridges under construction in the previous phase). The section through Binh Duong province has 6 bridges; of which, Thanh An bridge is the large bridge of the project crossing the Saigon River connecting Binh Duong and Tay Ninh provinces, including 13 spans with a total length of 617.6m, starting construction in November 2023, expected to be completed in 2025. The project is divided into 03 construction packages, of which the package in Binh Duong province (Bau Bang and Dau Tieng districts) is constructed by Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company.
According to the report of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, up to now, the main volume has basically completed the ground foundation, currently constructing the road surface foundation of all kinds reaching 28/31km; asphalt concrete paving reaching 19/31km; drainage culverts have basically been completed; the bridge section has completed the entire lower part of 6/6 bridges, of which 5/6 bridges have had their beams launched.
The construction unit is trying to speed up the project implementation progress.
A part of Ho Chi Minh road, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section, through Dau Tieng district has completed construction.
Thanh An Bridge is under construction for the cantilever section, expected to close in February 2025, while 3 bridges have completed the bridge deck (Kenh Phuoc Hoa Bridge, Ba Tu Bridge, Suoi Tre Bridge).
The total construction output of the entire project to date has reached 920 billion VND/1,665 billion VND (55.2% of the contract value), basically ensuring progress.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi discussed with units about the implementation of the Ho Chi Minh Road Construction Investment Project, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section, passing through Binh Duong province.
Site clearance work for the section passing through Binh Duong province has been basically completed and handed over about 98%. Currently, the project still has some locations that have not been cleared.
To ensure the completion of the project by April 30, 2025 and the completion of the entire project by August 2025, the Ho Chi Minh Road Management Board requests the province to direct relevant units to drastically accelerate site clearance in March 2025 and accelerate the relocation of technical infrastructure.
Provincial leaders gave gifts to encourage the construction unit to complete the project on schedule.
Through the report of the Ho Chi Minh Road Management Board and the construction unit, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi highly appreciated the spirit of project implementation of the units. At the same time, he requested Bau Bang and Dau Tieng districts to speed up the site clearance work, and have a plan to mobilize households to hand over the site to the construction unit early. The Bau Bang and Dau Tieng District Project Management Boards coordinated with Binh Duong Electricity Company to direct the electrical design consulting units to speed up the design documents and approve the relocation of the power grid to implement the project. The construction unit tried and made efforts to quickly complete the project as planned.
