In March 2023, the whole province welcomed more than 700,000 visitors, an increase of nearly 2 times over the same period (24,200 international visitors, an increase of 14.2 times) with revenue reaching more than 1,800 billion VND, an increase of 2.7 times. In April 2023, Binh Thuan welcomed 736,100 visitors, an increase of nearly 65% over the same period (26,200 foreign visitors, an increase of 5.1 times) with revenue reaching about 1,890 billion VND, an increase of 2.3 times. By May, the whole province was estimated to have welcomed about 805,300 visitors, an increase of 66.45% over the same period (of which 21,700 were international visitors, an increase of 4.4 times) with revenue reaching nearly 2,015 billion VND, an increase of 2.3 times.
In June - the beginning of the peak summer tourism season in 2023, the number of tourists choosing Binh Thuan as a destination for relaxation, sightseeing, and entertainment will also increase. The image of lines of cars lining up to the center of the coastal tourist city, on the key route Ham Tien - Mui Ne, in the southern area of Phan Thiet on weekends and midweek is gradually becoming familiar to local people... This improvement is also thanks to many favorable factors, first of all, tourism activities across the country have shown recovery and the demand for "travel" has gradually increased again after the Covid - 19 pandemic. For tourism, Binh Thuan is still showing itself to be an attractive destination because of its strengths in high-class resorts, sports and entertainment on the sea - on sand dunes, diverse cuisine, weather advantages and especially Phu Quy island is having a strong attraction for tourists everywhere.
Not only that, since the end of April 2023, when the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet expressway was officially opened to traffic and then the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway was put into use, travel time has been significantly shortened, creating convenience for tourists to come and relax in the "blue sea - white sand - golden sunshine" area. According to estimates in the first half of 2023, Binh Thuan welcomed more than 4,460,000 visitors (of which international visitors were about 133,950) with tourism revenue reaching nearly 11,350 billion VND. Looking back at the same period last year, that is, in the first 6 months of 2022, the whole province only welcomed 2,390,100 visitors (24,600 international visitors) with tourism revenue reaching approximately 4,490 billion VND. Thus, the growth rate for the two basic indicators of Binh Thuan tourism industry in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year is really impressive, in which the number of international visitors and revenue showed an increase of several times...
In the near future, many activities of the National Tourism Year 2023 - Binh Thuan - Green Convergence will be held in the second half of this year such as: Sports competitions (National Traditional Boat Racing Championship, Car - Off-road Motorcycle on Sand, International Kite Surfing - Windsurfing ...), Street Culture Week of the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence", Binh Thuan Golden Tourism Week, World Performing Arts Festival ...
