The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued the latest storm bulletin No. 3 on August 31, the rain and sunshine bulletin on land and the weather situation nationwide during the September 2 holiday.

Accordingly, at 10:00 a.m. on August 31, the center of the storm was located at about 21.1 degrees North latitude; 117.9 degrees East longitude, in the northeastern sea of ​​the North East Sea, about 450 km East Southeast of Hong Kong (China). The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 15-16 (167-201 km/h), gusting to level 17, moving in a West Northwest direction, at a speed of about 10 km/h.

From the next 72 to 120 hours, storm No. 3 is likely to change direction to the South, moving 5km per hour, and its intensity will continue to decrease.

Due to the impact of the storm, the northeastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea has strong storm winds of level 10-13, near the storm center level 14-16, gusting over level 17; the sea is very rough. The eastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea has waves 4.0-6.0m high, near the storm center 8.0-10.0m high.

On land, from August 31 to September 2, the Southern Central Highlands and the Southeast will have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms with rainfall from 40-100mm, some places will have over 150mm; the Northern Central Highlands and the Southwest will have showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 20-50mm, some places will have over 90mm (rain is concentrated in the afternoon and night).

In addition, on the day and night of August 31, the Central and South Central regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, in some places over 60mm.

From Da Nang to Binh Thuan, September 1-4: sunny days, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, showers and thunderstorms in some places at night. Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees Celsius, highest temperature 32-35 degrees Celsius. Thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Central Highlands and Southern regions:

Intermittent sunny days, afternoon and night rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, especially in the Southern Central Highlands and the Southeast region in the evening of September 1, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places. The lowest temperature in the Central Highlands is 20-23 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature in the Central Highlands is commonly 26-29 degrees Celsius; in the South, the lowest temperature is 24-27 degrees Celsius, the highest is 30-33 degrees Celsius. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
