Implementing the program of contact and dialogue with poor and near-poor households in 2023, on May 11-12, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with the People's Committee of Yen Mo district to organize a dialogue conference with 400 poor households in the district.
At the dialogue conference, representatives of relevant departments and branches disseminated to poor and near-poor households policies on: preferential credit, education, healthcare, vocational training, social protection, housing support according to Resolution No. 43 of the Provincial People's Council...
Poor and near-poor households attending the conference presented their thoughts and wishes to receive financial support to build, upgrade, and repair houses; wishes to extend the loan period for production, reduce loan interest rates, support policies for lonely elderly people with no place to rely on, single mothers with children, and policies to support tuition fees for their children to go to school...
Representatives of the authorities responded to requests and answered each question of the poor and near-poor regarding policies to support production development; vocational training and labor export policies, etc.
In particular, it is necessary to disseminate and clearly explain the cases that are eligible for the policy of supporting the construction and repair of new houses in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 43 of the Provincial People's Council, which was recently issued on March 10, 2023.
Not only providing useful information on policies, through dialogue, functional sectors also have a closer understanding of the circumstances and specific wishes of poor households, the difficulties in accessing policies to support the poor, thereby proposing appropriate poverty reduction support solutions, creating resources for the poor to escape poverty sustainably.
According to the plan, after the conference in Yen Mo district, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will continue to organize direct meetings with poor households in localities in the province.
