On the afternoon of February 19, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Phuoc Thien chaired a meeting to listen to the report on the draft Project "Building Dong Thap into a pioneering and model province in ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, and civilized farmers by 2030" (referred to as the Project). The meeting was connected online with the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agricultural and Rural Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Phuoc Thien delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.
The project is of great significance to the development of the province, built with the goal of creating a strong transformation in agriculture, rural areas and the lives of Dong Thap farmers, towards sustainable development and prosperity.
The draft Project consists of 4 parts: introduction; theoretical basis of modern rural ecological agriculture, civilized farmers; current status of rural agricultural development in Dong Thap province; viewpoints, goals, tasks, solutions and organization of implementation of the Project.
At the meeting, delegates contributed many opinions to the draft Project. The opinions focused on issues that need to be clarified, adjusting the project's indicators to match the actual situation; updating and supplementing new rural criteria in accordance with current regulations; integrating additional programs and projects that the province is implementing, especially in the tourism sector...
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Phuoc Thien highly appreciated the contributions of the delegates. At the same time, he requested the Drafting Team to absorb, edit and complete the Drafting Team to ensure its scientific nature, feasibility and suitability to the actual conditions of the province. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Drafting Team to clarify solutions for each field, flexibly use local budget sources or propose specific policies for effective implementation...
