Petrolife gas station belongs to Petrol Life Petroleum Production and Trading Import-Export Company Limited (Ward 9, Tra Vinh city) contributes to ensuring the supply of gasoline for the province.

According to the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade, in the industrial sector, the Department has promptly removed difficulties and obstacles, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to develop. It has paid attention to implementing investment and electricity development well, ensuring electricity sources for production and daily life of people in the province. At the same time, the province has proposed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to include in the planning and implementation plan of the provincial planning, Power Plan VIII for 43 renewable energy projects, with a total capacity of 26,970MW, transformer station works, transmission lines, and distribution for the period up to 2030, with a vision to 2050. As a result, Tra Vinh was approved in the plan to implement Power Plan VIII with 13 wind power projects, with a capacity of 872.5MW and transformer station works, transmission lines, and distribution to release capacity, which is the basis for developing the electricity industry in the coming time.

Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company is one of the units that significantly contributes to the province's electricity production task. According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Deputy Head of the Company's Safety and Environment Department, in 2024, the Company produced electricity in difficult and challenging conditions with sudden increases and decreases in load demand due to the impact on the safe operation of generators. However, the Company completed its assigned tasks, with electricity production in 2024 reaching over 14,141 million kilowatt hours, equal to 144.5% compared to 2023.

Promoting the results achieved in 2025, the Company has set a plan to reach 19,616 million kilowatt hours of electricity output. To achieve the above task, the Company plans monthly coal demand and the operation status of generators to proactively balance coal demand. Implementing repair and maintenance of coal receiving equipment to ensure the reliability of coal loading and receiving systems... Implementing solutions to improve availability, ensuring reliability and stability of equipment operating the power production line of each plant. Continuing to implement the program to control incidents and equipment damage to improve the availability of thermal power plants, especially exhaust systems, coal supply, coal processing...

In 2024, the province directed Tra Cu district to coordinate with investors and relevant departments and branches to implement the complete construction of the detailed planning project of Tra Vinh Biomass Power Plant and have it approved and announced according to regulations.

Comrade Huynh Van Nghi, Vice Chairman of Tra Cu District People's Committee said: After the detailed construction planning project (scale 1/500) was approved, the District People's Committee coordinated with the investor to hire the Land Fund Development Center to carry out compensation and site clearance. The biomass power project was built with a capacity of 25MW and other auxiliary systems; built a 110KV road and connecting lines; built a system of 03 300-ton fuel stations, with a total capital of 1,066 billion VND in Luu Nghiep Anh and Ngai Xuyen communes, with an area of ​​11.7 hectares.

Up to now, Luu Nghiep Anh and Ngai Xuyen communes have organized meetings to disseminate and receive opinions from people with land in the area to be recovered for project implementation. The result is that 100% of households in the project area highly agree with the project's implementation policies and guidelines.

According to comrade Huynh Van Nghi, in order to effectively implement the Biomass Power Project, in the coming time, Tra Cu will coordinate with sectors, organizations and localities to propagate and mobilize people to implement the province's policies and guidelines so that they can be built and put into operation soon. Direct the District Compensation Council to coordinate with the Land Fund Development Center and localities to complete the compensation and site clearance plan according to the issued plan. Recommend the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant provincial departments and branches to support localities in the implementation process as well as remove difficulties and obstacles related to site clearance and related policies. Urge investors to speed up the construction progress of the biomass power plant according to the plan committed to the province.

At the same time, the Department of Industry and Trade has promptly supported and urged to accelerate the progress of infrastructure investment in Hiep My Tay Industrial Cluster, up to now reaching 70% of the workload, attracting 02 secondary investors; Tan Ngai Industrial Cluster has completed technical infrastructure investment, attracted 01 secondary investment, with a total investment capital of 1,479 billion VND. In 2024, 66 new industrial enterprises will be developed, attracting 930 workers; 09 projects will be implemented to support the application of advanced machinery and equipment in production lines to improve productivity, quality and competitiveness of industrial products.

In the field of trade, the Department of Industry and Trade effectively implemented solutions to support the system of supermarkets, shopping malls, and convenience stores to maintain and promote business efficiency; market management and development were strengthened and innovated. The total number of markets invested in construction, renovation, and upgrading was 20, with a total amount of over 12.6 billion VND; calling for investment in Tan Son petroleum depot, Tra Cu district, with a total investment of 14.6 billion VND, which has been put into operation; developing 04 new petroleum stores, ceasing the operation of 08 stores.

With the achieved results, in 2025, to achieve the targets assigned by the Provincial People's Committee, the Industry and Trade sector will focus on calling for investment in developing the processing and manufacturing industry, supporting new industrial projects to be completed and put into operation soon to contribute to job creation and increase the industrial production value of the province. Continue to support investment in technical infrastructure of industrial clusters, promote calling for investment in developing infrastructure of industrial clusters, attract enterprises to invest in production and business. Focus on implementing the Plan to implement the 8th Power Plan, industrial, energy and industrial cluster planning integrated in the approved Provincial Plan. Focus on monitoring and supporting the creation of favorable conditions for renewable energy projects, biomass power plants and green hydrogen production plants.

Regarding trade development, increase investment calls, encourage the development of a system of markets, supermarkets, shopping malls, convenience stores, agricultural and aquatic product wholesale markets, invest in upgrading traditional markets to ensure meeting people's buying and selling needs, develop a system of warehouses and gas stations to meet the socio-economic development needs of the province. Promote the development of e-commerce and digital transformation in the industry and trade sector.

Effectively implement Free Trade Agreements to support enterprises in improving production and business efficiency. Strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the fields of competition, multi-level marketing, consumer protection, import and export; trade defense... Strengthen trade promotion activities, organize fairs, markets and events associated with the Ok Om Bok Festival in 2025...
