(BDO) One day before the important match with U22 Malaysia, U22 Vietnam had a tactical training session to prepare for this match. A victory will help coach Philippe Troussier and his team quickly secure a ticket to the semi-finals and have the right to choose their opponent in the knockout round.

Before starting this training session, midfielder Thanh Nhan represented the whole team to share with the media about the preparations of U22 Vietnam. The PVF-CAND player said:

“My team and I have been preparing for tomorrow’s match with U22 Malaysia for 2 days now. We have been relaxing for the past 2 days, today we will practice tactics and prepare thoroughly to be ready for tomorrow’s match.

Malaysia has many tall and powerful players. This is Malaysia's greatest strength. To limit this, the whole team will play aggressively from the start, pressing the opponent. My team and I are very confident before tomorrow's match and hope to win."

Answering the question of whether U22 Vietnam has 5 days off compared to U22 Malaysia, is that an advantage, midfielder Thanh Nhan said: “This is a huge advantage for U22 Vietnam. Yesterday, U22 Malaysia just finished playing. Today, U22 Vietnam just started practicing. I feel very excited and ready for tomorrow's match.

I watched the match between U22 Thailand and U22 Malaysia yesterday. I noticed that U22 Malaysia is a team that plays more physically. I think tomorrow will be a good match between the two teams, giving the fans many good plays."

When asked if the playing style of U22 Vietnam under coach Philippe Troussier has become more fluent after the last two matches with U22 Laos and U22 Singapore, Thanh Nhan shared:

“In my opinion, through the first two matches against Laos and Singapore, the team’s playing style has become somewhat fluent according to coach Philippe’s tactics. In tomorrow’s match, I hope the whole team will play as well and win the overall victory.”

The match between U22 Vietnam and U22 Malaysia will start at 7pm tomorrow (May 8). Before that, also in Group B, there will be a confrontation between U22 Thailand and U22 Laos.
