Actively promote the 16th Press Award 'For the cause of great national unity'

Accordingly, in June 2023, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists Association to announce the Rules of the 16th "For the Cause of Great National Unity" Press Award, 2023 - 2024 and will organize an award ceremony for the winning works on the occasion of the 94th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam National United Front - Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024).

In order to promote propaganda, improve the quantity and quality of works participating in the Award, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front requests the Vietnam Journalists Association to pay attention to directing the Journalists Associations of provinces and cities, press agencies at the central and local levels to continue to propagate the Award and the Award Rules. Encourage, support and create conditions for members of the Journalists Association at all levels, reporters of news agencies and newspapers at the central and local levels to actively participate and contribute to the success of the Award.

According to the award rules, the participants include all professional and non-professional journalists, collaborators, correspondents of domestic news agencies and overseas Vietnamese.

Works participating in the Award must have the quality of discovery, accurately and promptly reflecting the propaganda content of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on building and promoting the strength of Great National Unity.

At the same time, the work needs to convey contents related to the work of participating in building a clean and strong Party and State of the Fatherland Front at all levels; the work of preventing and combating corruption, negativity, practicing thrift and combating waste; the work of supervising cadres, party members and civil servants in residential areas; and the implementation of democracy regulations at the grassroots level.

In addition, the works can truthfully reflect the political, cultural, socio-economic, defense, security situation and major events of the country and localities; the feelings, aspirations, and good deeds of intellectuals, religious dignitaries, prominent people of ethnic groups, and overseas Vietnamese who make practical contributions to the Great National Unity bloc; refute false arguments and information that distort the guidelines, policies, and lines of the Party and State.

In addition, the results of implementing the 5 action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the work of building the Great National Unity bloc; the campaigns "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" or the emulation movements "Creative solidarity", "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", the activities "Repaying gratitude", the Peak Month "For the poor"...

The types of journalism participating in the Award include: print, electronic, spoken (radio), visual (television), and press photos. The genres include: research articles, reflections, interviews, notes, reports, short reports (radio - television), documentaries, news, special topics, columns, talk shows, investigations, journalistic essays, comments, treatises, press photos (excluding video clips on electronic newspapers).

Entries must be published by domestic news agencies and newspapers from September 21, 2022 to July 31, 2024. Each author can submit a maximum of 5 entries. The number of members in a group of authors cannot exceed 7 people. In particular, entries that have been awarded prizes in local, sectoral or interdisciplinary competitions at the central level are still eligible to enter the Award.

The Organizing Committee will receive entries until July 31 at the following address: "For the cause of great national unity" Press Award, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 46 Trang Thi Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

The best works will be considered and voted to award many prizes such as: Special prize worth 30 million VND, A prize - 15 million VND, B prize - 10 million VND, C prize - 5 million VND, Encouragement prize - 3 million VND.
