According to the latest rankings just announced by the Badminton World Federation, Thuy Linh has entered the top 20 of the world's women's singles for the first time. This is the highest position Thuy Linh has achieved in her career and also the highest position a Vietnamese female tennis player has ever achieved.

She achieved this historic step thanks to victories over opponents much stronger than her, even present in the world's top 10 such as Mariska Tunjung, Han Yue... Thuy Linh entered the quarterfinals of the US Open, entered the second round of the Denmark Open, and entered the round of 16 of the China Open.

Thuy Linh rose to 20th place in the world rankings.

At present, she has 45,550 points. The gap between Thuy Linh and Aya Ohori, the world's 19th ranked tennis player, is nearly 6,000 points.

2023 marks a great leap forward in Thuy Linh's career. From being ranked outside the world's top 50, the 26-year-old tennis player has advanced with impressive performance. Despite facing countless difficulties in traveling and close-knit tournaments, Thuy Linh still overcame everything to set a new milestone. Not only that, she also participated in the super 1000 tournament (China Open) for the first time, the highest-level event in the world's white tennis village.

In addition to entering the world top 20, Thuy Linh also rose to 15th place in the group of tennis players racing to the Paris Olympics. This not only helps Thuy Linh get closer to the Olympic ticket, but also closes in on the group of seeded tennis players.
