(Dan Tri) - In the education sector of Ho Chi Minh City, some places pay the highest Lunar New Year bonus of over 100 million VND/person, while some places do not give Tet bonuses.
This information was mentioned by the Ho Chi Minh City Education Trade Union in the report on the results of taking care of union members, teachers and workers during the Lunar New Year 2025.
In the area, the highest bonus belongs to an FDI unit. This unit spent nearly 2.58 billion VND to reward 216 people. Of which, the highest bonus is about 101 million VND/person, the lowest bonus is nearly 4.4 million VND/person, the average bonus is more than 22.4 million VND/person.

Public agencies, units and schools do not give Lunar New Year bonuses but only distribute additional income according to Decree 43.
There are 89/104 non-state units giving Tet bonuses with a total cost of nearly 32.9 billion VND with 6,147 employees receiving bonuses.
The highest bonus in non-state units is more than 28.2 million VND/person, the lowest is 300,000 VND/person, the average bonus is 5.35 million VND/person.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Education Trade Union, in non-public educational institutions, especially secondary and vocational schools, due to the impact of enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year, some units do not have Tet bonuses, but only organize Tet care for teachers and workers.
This year, the Ho Chi Minh City Education Trade Union still maintains the support level of 700,000 VND/person.
