Accordingly, the Criminal Police Department of Binh Duong Provincial Police coordinated with Thuan An City Police and Thuan An City Cultural Department to inspect Binh Duong Poker Company Limited, located in The Emerald Golf View apartment building (Lai Thieu ward, Thuan An city, Binh Duong province).
At this time, the above company has 3 tables in operation with 17 Poker players who have all registered as members. However, the company has not yet submitted a tournament plan to the competent authority as prescribed; has not yet established an internal revenue and expenditure mechanism as prescribed; has not yet registered with the competent authority the prize structure for club members; employees working at the company do not have labor contracts.
The inspection team drew up a record and requested Binh Duong Poker Company Limited to stop the violation and stop organizing Poker activities.
On January 29, Binh Duong Poker Company Limited sent a request to the authorities to temporarily close and stop operations for the reason of "overcoming limitations and shortcomings in accordance with the provisions of law".
According to the investigation, the above company registered to operate in the field of "Intellectual Sports" (Poker), with Ms. NTTT (born 2000, residing in Binh Duong) as the club's manager. The company contracted to rent a shophouse apartment in the apartment building as the location of its operations.
After a period of heavy advertising to introduce and attract players, on January 13, the company started organizing Poker activities.
Regarding Poker activities, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province previously sent a document to the Department of Culture and Information of districts, towns and cities to strengthen supervision of this type of activity to avoid distortions and loss of security and order.
