Thuan Bac: Deploying local defense and military tasks in 2024

On November 24, Thuan Bac District People's Committee held a Conference to summarize local military and defense tasks in 2023 and deploy directions and tasks in 2024.

In 2023, the Party committees, authorities, agencies, units and armed forces of Thuan Bac district have closely followed and seriously implemented the directives and resolutions of the Party, policies and laws of the State, directives and orders of superiors on local military and defense tasks. Strictly maintain combat readiness regime; Training and exercises are carried out according to plan, directing the organization to well implement defense exercises for 4 communes: Bac Phong, Bac Son, Cong Hai, Phuoc Chien and 01 self-defense unit under Nam Thanh Trading, Service and Production Company; the potential of defense areas is strengthened; the work of building a comprehensively strong district armed force is increasingly improved, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation. Political tasks associated with socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security are closely combined; contributing to the successful implementation of national defense, associated with the increasingly solid people's security posture, creating favorable conditions for local economic and social development. The work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army reached 100% of the military force and ensured quality.

In 2024, the Party committees, authorities, agencies, units and armed forces of Thuan Bac district will continue to promote the sense of responsibility; closely follow and seriously implement the Party's directives and resolutions, the State's policies and laws, directives and orders of superiors on local military and defense tasks in the new situation. In particular, continue to build the local armed forces increasingly strong in terms of politics, ideology and organization; focus oneducation to raise awareness and political capacity for officers and soldiers of the district's armed forces against all plots of hostile forces. Strive for the rate of party members in the militia to reach 25% or more, each commune to develop at least 1 to 2 party members in the militia. At the same time, do a good job of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2024.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Thuan Bac District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing local military and defense tasks in 2023.
