On October 24, within the framework of the activities to attend the 2024 BRICS Leaders' Meeting in Kazan, Russian Federation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh briefly met with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistani President Emomali Rahmon, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso; United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres; Foreign Ministers of Indonesia, Thailand and Saudi Arabia.

At the meetings, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent greetings from General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong to the leaders of the countries.
The Prime Minister discussed with leaders of countries and partners orientations and measures to promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Leaders of countries and partners sent their congratulations to President Luong Cuong on being entrusted with the new responsibility; expressed their impression of Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements; affirmed the importance of relations with Vietnam, congratulated Vietnam's achievements in all fields, especially in economics and society, and wished to continue to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in all fields, especially in high-level delegation exchanges and cooperation in economics, trade, investment, energy, education, people-to-people exchange, and cooperation in responding to global challenges.

At the meeting with the President of South Africa, The Prime Minister conveyed President Luong Cuong's invitation to the President of South Africa to visit Vietnam. The President of South Africa happily accepted the invitation.
At the meeting with the President of Azerbaijan , the two leaders affirmed their determination to continue deepening the traditional friendship commensurate with the potential of the two countries, strongly promoting the role of the Vietnam-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Committee on economic-trade and scientific-technical cooperation; expanding cooperation in oil and gas, agriculture, tourism and local cooperation.
During the meeting with the President of Kyrgyzstan , the two sides agreed to coordinate to effectively implement the FTA between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU); strengthen cooperation in agriculture, education, health care, culture, sports, tourism and aviation. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh respectfully conveyed President Luong Cuong's invitation to the President of Kyrgyzstan to visit Vietnam.
Talk with the President of Tajikistan Regarding the direction of cooperation in the coming time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that Tajikistan facilitate the access of Vietnamese garment, agricultural and aquatic products, and construction materials to the Tajikistan market, contributing to increasing trade turnover between the two countries. The two sides agreed to create favorable conditions for investors from both countries to do business and promote cooperation in potential areas such as agriculture, culture, and tourism.
At the meeting with the President of Iran, The two leaders agreed to continue to facilitate businesses of both sides to contact and export key products to each other's markets, and to strengthen cooperation in finance and banking, including the early resumption of the activities of the joint working groups on banking cooperation and the working group on trade cooperation between the two countries.
With the Republic of Congo , the two sides agreed to continue to coordinate effectively in implementing activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1964-2024); promote the exchange of market information, and seek cooperation opportunities in potential fields, especially agriculture.
The President of the Republic of Congo positively acknowledged Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s proposal to facilitate Vietnam’s key products, such as rice, agricultural products, consumer goods, textiles, and footwear, to access the Congolese market. The Congolese side expressed its wish for Vietnam to share its experience in developing the country, building innovative policies, and integrating into the international community.

During the meeting with the UN Secretary-General , the two sides agreed to continue coordinating to implement important results of the Future Summit.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam strongly supports the central role of the United Nations in global governance and will continue to actively and responsibly participate in efforts to promote peace, stability, inclusive and sustainable development in the region and the world.

At a meeting with the Indonesian Foreign Minister , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the two sides continue to promote trade exchanges, striving to increase bilateral trade turnover to 18 billion USD; effectively implement agreements on maritime cooperation, and humanely treat fishing vessels and fishermen.
In an exchange with the Thai Foreign Minister, The Prime Minister expressed his wish to soon welcome Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra to pay an official visit to Vietnam and co-chair the 4th Joint Cabinet Meeting; suggested that the two sides actively implement cooperation within the framework of the “Three Connectivity” initiative, especially connecting supply chains, transport infrastructure, economy, green, and energy transition; and strive to soon increase two-way trade turnover to 25 billion USD in a more balanced direction.
To the Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister , the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude and looked forward to the upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia in late October 2024, which will bring about many substantive results, contributing to further strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two countries, especially in potential areas such as Halal, digital transformation, green transformation and energy cooperation.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of countries and partners also exchanged views on a number of international and regional issues of mutual concern; affirmed to increase consultation and coordination at regional and international forums.
