Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will chair a conference on developing Vietnam's cultural industries on December 24 at the Government headquarters.
On the morning of December 19, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a press conference to inform about the organization of the National Conference on the development of Vietnam's cultural industries taking place on December 24, at the Government headquarters.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha will chair and direct this important conference.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy said that this is the first time the Conference on the Development of Vietnam's Cultural Industries has been held on a national scale. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is actively coordinating with ministries, branches and localities to prepare content and organization. The conference will be broadcast online to local bridges.
" The conference was organized to practically concretize the task of implementing the Conclusion of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference and the Party's directives and resolutions on developing the cultural industry to match its potential and position, making positive contributions to the country's socio-economic development in the coming time, " Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy affirmed.
Regarding the Conference, Director of the Copyright Office Tran Hoang said that the first national conference on the development of cultural industries is of special importance. At the conference, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will report on the implementation of the strategy for the development of Vietnam's cultural industries until 2020, with a vision to 2030.
The focus is on evaluating the results achieved in the process of implementing the strategy, evaluating the development status of each field in the cultural industry (cinema; cultural tourism, performing arts; fine arts, photography and exhibitions; advertising; architecture; design; publishing; fashion; television and radio; software and entertainment games; handicrafts).

At the Conference, representatives of ministries, branches, localities and delegates of a number of associations, unions, experts, scientists and businesses related to the cultural industry will speak, evaluate and share the results of developing cultural industries in assigned fields; good models, creative ways of managing and investing in cultural industries; barriers, challenges and propose directions, solutions and mechanisms, policies to remove difficulties, promote the development of cultural industries...
Based on the results of the Conference, the Government and the Prime Minister will have directions and orientations for the development of cultural industries with focus and key points, and at the same time assign specific tasks to each ministry, branch, province and city with solutions, mechanisms and policies to promote the development of cultural industries commensurate with Vietnam's potential and advantages.
