According to the Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee, Ministry of Public Security, the provincial police have stepped up efforts to crack down on this type of crime, but next is to widely publicize and publicize the tricks of scammers so that people can avoid them.
“The number of 13,000 people being scammed is a lot, especially in some cases where person 1 pretends to be an electricity worker, person 2 pretends to be a police officer, person 3 pretends to be a bank officer, which means it is very tight,” Ms. Hai noted.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong said that the National Assembly Standing Committee highly appreciated the peak period of crime suppression, dismantling many criminal rings in cyberspace, ensuring social order and traffic safety, reducing all three criteria.
He also suggested that the Ministry of Public Security study and publicize the tricks of online scammers to educate the public. “This is a high-tech crime, with complex tricks and collusion between inside and outside. Many people are greedy and are more likely to be scammed,” said the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
