The third quarter-final match of the 2023 National U15 Championship was a match between HAGL and Hanoi. Rated higher than their opponents, the capital team confidently pushed up their formation to find the opening goal of the match. HAGL calmly neutralized many dangerous attacks from Hanoi.
The first half passed without any goals being scored. In the second half, HAGL continued to show their ability to persistently stick to their opponents. The young players from the mountain town understood that they needed to ensure safety in their home field before thinking about attacks. Reasonable tactics helped HAGL hold their opponents and the match ended without any goals being scored.

Before the penalty shootout began, coach Nguyen Minh Hai decided to put goalkeeper A Kis To on the field, and this adjustment paid off. The Ba Na goalkeeper made a miraculous save against Nguyen Luc of Hanoi, helping HAGL win the penalty shootout with a score of 4-2.
In the remaining match of the quarter-finals, Viettel played impressively. The team pressed their opponents but faced strong resistance from Tay Ninh. Throughout the first half, Tay Ninh caused countless difficulties for Viettel, but the defense made mistakes when the first 45 minutes were about to end.
Tay Ninh's defenders were not decisive in blocking, allowing Hoang Viet to pass to Gia Hung to open the score.
In the second half, Tay Ninh's efforts quickly paid off. In the 49th minute, Quoc Thai dribbled the ball well before making a favorable pass for Phu Cuong to score against Viettel, tying the score at 1-1.
In the 55th minute, Viettel quickly regained the lead. Van Thai had a beautiful long-range shot to increase the score to 2-1. Three minutes later, Hong Kien scored the winning goal 3-1 for Viettel. Thus, the semi-final matches of the tournament were determined, semi-final 1 was the confrontation between Viettel and SLNA, semi-final 2 was the confrontation between PVF and HAGL.
