Dear teachers, administrators, education workers, students, and parents!
On the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2024 - 2025, I would like to send my warmest feelings and best wishes to teachers, administrators, workers who have been and are working in the education sector, students, and parents.

In a letter to students on the first school opening day of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, Uncle Ho wrote: "Whether Vietnam's mountains and rivers become beautiful or not, whether the Vietnamese people can step up to the stage of glory to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's great powers or not, depends largely on your studies". The late General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong also emphasized in a meeting with outstanding students on November 3, 2018: "Talents are the vital energy of a nation, when the vital energy is prosperous, the country is strong, when the vital energy is weak, the country is weak".
Our Party and State always identify education and training as the top national policy, and have had and are having priority policies for the development of education and training. In the 2023-2024 school year, after 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW dated November 4, 2013 of the Party Central Committee on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training, our country's education has made strong developments and achieved many important achievements, contributing greatly to improving people's knowledge, developing human resources, and nurturing talents; making important contributions to the country's socio-economic development and international integration.
Letter from the General Secretary and President to the Education sector on the occasion of the new school year opening
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, I warmly commend the spirit of emulation and striving of teachers and students nationwide, as well as the efforts and results of the entire education sector, and the companionship and support of parents in the past time.
The new school year 2024 - 2025 is the first school year to implement Conclusion No. 91-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW and deploying the new General Education Program in all grades from grade 1 to grade 12. I hope that the education sector will focus on implementing the theme of the school year: "Innovation, quality improvement, solidarity and discipline". Education and training need to continue to aim at human development and human happiness, maximize the human factor, take people as the center, subject, resource, and goal of development, creating a foundation for realizing the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization.
With the spirit of the new school year, I believe that students will strive to study, cultivate, absorb and master knowledge, form core competencies, and create great aspirations to build an increasingly prosperous and happy country.
I hope that teachers, administrators, and workers in the education sector will always be dedicated, love their jobs, be creative, overcome all difficulties, and contribute more to their noble career.
I hope that parents, for the future of our children, will cooperate well with the school, creating a close connection between school - family - society in education.
I propose that the Central Committees, ministries, branches, Party committees and authorities at all levels pay more attention to the education cause with timely, practical and correct decisions so that teachers and students can teach and study in a healthy environment with full conditions to promote creativity and successfully carry out the innovation of our country's education.
Wishing teachers, administrators, education workers and students good health, happiness, success and more achievements in the new school year.
