Ho Chi Minh City continues to remove obstacles in the 10,000 billion VND flood prevention project
In order to complete the 10,000 billion VND flood prevention project by the end of 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Chairman Phan Van Mai has just issued new instructions to departments and branches to remove obstacles.
The Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to urgently provide relevant records, documents, and legal documents, and at the same time participate in giving comments on the draft Resolution of the Government on removing obstacles in implementing the nearly 10,000 billion VND flood prevention project.
The Department was also assigned to propose the establishment of a grassroots appraisal council and plan to select an appraisal consulting unit; advise and propose to the City People's Committee before February 10.
In addition, preside over negotiations and sign the BT Contract Appendix, propose to the City People's Committee in accordance with regulations; Review and propose to the budget management unit to pay for the project, strive to complete the project and put it into use before December 31, 2025.

Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directs District 6 to request to convert public land to build schools
Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Ngoc Hai has just assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to advise the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the proposal to transfer 8 public lands in District 6 to build schools and parks. This must be completed before February 15.
Previously, the People's Committee of District 6 reviewed and proposed to convert 8 public lands. The leader of the People's Committee of District 6 said that the current need for schools in the area is very urgent.
Currently, the district has 17 public kindergartens, 19 primary schools, and 14 secondary schools, which do not meet the learning needs. Through review, the district found that some land plots have expired leases, are left vacant, causing waste and are at risk of becoming polluted areas, giving rise to social evils. The transfer aims to optimize public land funds, serving the educational and green space needs of the people.
